TERRI SCHINDLER-SCHIAVO DAILY THREADAPRIL 19, 2004 FORWARD
April 19, 2004 | floriduh voter

Persistent and Loyal Friends of Terri and of the U.S. Constitution,

I'm home from today's hearing which was held at the Criminal Courthouse Complex on 49th Street, Clearwater before Judge W. Douglas Baird.

Once I collect my thoughts from today's hearing which just adjourned about a half an hour ago, I'll post them here. Initially, I wasn't going to do any reporting re: the hearing but it was enlightening.

I learned today in the hallway that Terri's parents, siblings and other relatives are still unable to see her some three weeks later due to the criminal investigation of what may have been mosquito bites. But, that's a different legal matter.

You have struggled so valiantly on Terri's behalf, but you must prepare for the Democrat-Republican "fix" on her fate. If no "new evidence" can be introduced, how can this be reversed? George W. Greer and W. Douglas Baird have been for her death for many, many years. They will rejoice when the deed is done. And uninformed FL voters may just keep those old coots around another term too.

Alan Keyes, where are you?

What about Jesse Jackson?

He is a real 'news hound"!

sebesta.jim.web@flsenate.gov (Terri's representative who voted for Terri's Law).

I don't think they realize that Terri's Law is a SHAM even though they voted for it. Terri has no Guardian Ad Litem, she's had no tests that the GAL who was dismissed recommended and her teeth are being extracted at a fast pace.

JUDGE DAVID DEMERS dismissed GAL Wolfson before he got the swallowing tests he recommended. EVEN HEAD JUDGE DEMERS will have blood on his hands.

Re: Jesse Jackson - I don't know if he'd help but I'm not sure anyone has asked him. He could come down here and give a speech and get on the tube for Terri.

I had his email address as shown above. Try http://kyl.senate.gov. Maybe his phone number's there.

If JON KYL meant it when he authored that bill for victim's rights, WE HAVE AMERICA'S NUMBER ONE VICTIM RIGHT HERE.

Here's another article re: Terri. Just placing it here to expedite posting.

Florida Baptist Witness special report on Terri Schiavo:

http://www.floridabaptistwitness.com/schiavo.fbw. Mark Kelly is the author of Proof Beyond Reasonable Doubt: The end of Christian apologetics. (A good summary of what's been done to Terri)

http://kyl.senate.gov/constit_center/email.cfm or try:
http://kyl.senate.gov/contact/cfm. I'm sure sure which is the correct one - it's been a long day. I wonder how the Rally in Starke went today. Haven't heard a word.

PING to post #168...

Last go-round I was in DC where I could give some assistance. I was working 20-hour days doing what I could.

This time I'm not, and don't have the financial resources to help, either.

:-(

That's okay. Just doing a general ping. Best wishes and thanks - I know you helped Terri in the Beltway. We needed help up there.

The problem is that the court has a habit of sitting on Terri's cases for very long periods of time; if someone filed a new guardianship motion today, and it didn't get consolidated into the existing one, it would probably not get heard until 2006.

So, for this reason Terri's pro bono Round Table should refrain from filing motions before the court each and every time MS and or his legal team violates prior judicial findings regarding guardian administration, Florida statutes/regulations and the federal Americans with Disabilities Act????

Tell that to Terri and her family.

As for me, Terri's Round Table has been in first gear from the get-go.

I would assume that the Reverend Jesse Louis Jackson, Sr., is strongly behind the Felos-Schiavo faction and favors Terri's immediate death. He is an admirer of Janet Reno, another admirer of Felos and Schiavo.

What Terri Has Taught Us About Our Culture

Pat Buchanan was understating the case at the 1992 Republican convention when he apparently coined the term "culture war."

But Pat, to my knowledge, has written nothing about the state-planned murder of poor Terri Sciavo.

~~~~~~~ Starke / Bradford County Rally for Terri Schiavo ~~~~~~~
The rally was a labor of love and concern for Terri and her family. It really did last from 8 am until 5 pm. 6 people, including the organizer, were there that entire time and have the sunburn and sore arms and sore voice to prove it. There were a maximum of maybe 21 there for several hours around midday. One family left for a softball game (the news came back later that their player hit a triple and stole a base).
We stood along 301 in front of the Bradford County Courthouse which is just north of where 16 comes in. It’s a major truck route and today it was also a major motorcycle route as well, with a few to up to a dozen or so at a time riding by with thumbs up and horns honking. Most of the truckers were positive. In one outstanding series of maybe 20 cars or so, only 3 did not honk for Terri.
As always at such an event, I met some wonderful people who care about Terri and the Schindlers. They had a petition to sign -- the person in charge of it even got one of the workers there to sign it. I passed out some color copies of FL engineer’s “Terri photo series w/conversation”, one of the most powerful things bits of evidence we have.
They plan another rally sometime in the next few weeks in Macclenny (Baker County).
CALL TO ACTION... EMAIL SENATE PRESIDENT KING TO STEP DOWN NOW.
king.james.web@flsenate.gov
I'll be back after I visit sptimes.com Sunday Edition. KING'S REMARKS AT YESTERDAY'S SESSION are outrageous and IMO, are a result of pressures on King from Felos, et al and conversely from people who know right from wrong. King is flipping his lid and I don't want him as Senate President a moment longer.
Sunday Paper Delivers. JIM KING EXPOSED.
Senate bill would make animal cruelty a felony By Times Staff Writer Published April 25, 2004
TALLAHASSEE - Senate President Jim King has a special affinity for animals.
"The more I'm around people, the more I realize how important dogs are," King said Saturday after the Senate approved a bill enhancing the penalties for animal cruelty.
King has two black Labrador retrievers, Jimini and Melinda.
"They are God's beings and don't need to be mistreated," he said. "I have no problem with rodeos, I'm talking about people who cow tip, light fire to cats and put bunnies in microwaves."
Take a look at the inmates on death row, King suggested, and you'll find almost all of them have animal cruelty in their backgrounds.
The bill, sponsored by Sen. Jim Sebesta, R-St. Petersburg, would make animal cruelty a felony instead of a misdemeanor.
Instead of facing a maximum one year prison sentence and a $5,000 fine, those convicted of animal cruelty in the future could face a maximum five-year sentence and fines of up to $10,000. An intentional act that causes the death of an animal would subject the perpetrator to a second-degree felony and require a minimum mandatory six months in jail and a $2,500 fine.
A similar bill is pending in the House.
FV SAYS: JIM KING SHOULD STEP DOWN AS SENATE PRESIDENT. His remarks are outrageous and if he feels that dogs are more important than people, he should RUN FOR PRESIDENT OF PETA and stop killing Florida's humans. I know tons of people have been calling and emailing Jim King and not to compliment him on his great legacy as Senate President. GOOD JOB.
Please call Senator Byrd whose number doesn't work today and Governor Bush whose voicemail is kinda long.
Why wait until November? JIM KING SHOULD RESIGN NOW. He's offensive, outta control, he's pals with the death lobby and with our kooky Pinellas County Judges.
BIAS, BIAS, BIAS.
What is Terri if Jim King's labs are God's beings? IS NOT TERRI GOD'S BEING AS WELL????? Apparently not. King wouldn't allow SB 692 to protect disabled Floridians to the floor but THEY HELD A SATURDAY SESSION to prevent cruelty to animals.
Anyone outraged yet? This is getting more ridiculous with each day that passes... before the session started JIM KING asked Sen. Miller from Tampa to SING THE LORD'S PRAYER. They were sobbing like babies... no tears for Terri though.
Senate says suicide is not entertainment http://www.bradenton.com/mld/bradenton/news/politics/8514065.htm >>A proposal to ban suicide as a form of public entertainment passed the Senate on a 39-0 vote Saturday, a response to the rock band Hell On Earth, which attempted to feature a live suicide during a concert last year.
The Senate passed the House version (HB 221) that would make it a third-degree felony to promote such an event. Violators found guilty could face five years in prison and a $5,000 fine.<<
This bill passed unanimously. Imagine if Senate President, Jim King, would have allowed Senate Bill 692 to be heard. You'll recall that SB 692 would have required a written, advanced directive before assisted nutrition and hydration could be removed from a patient.
This bill was withdrawn on April 16: http://www.flsenate.gov/session/index.cfm?BI_Mode=ViewBillInfo&Mode=Bills&SubMenu=1&Year=2004&billnum=692
Senator King is the reason it was never heard: http://news.tbo.com/news/MGAN946WQND.html ``As soon as you put something on the floor, as well-intended as it may be, anybody can amend it. Then all of a sudden I'm sitting there facing a bill or bills that can dismantle what I consider to be my legacy.''
AND, CHECK OUT THE BILL PASSED SATURDAY in a special session to stop CRUELTY TO ANIMALS. Jim King prefers animals to people.
