~~~~~~~ Starke / Bradford County Rally for Terri Schiavo ~~~~~~~ The rally was a labor of love and concern for Terri and her family. It really did last from 8 am until 5 pm. 6 people, including the organizer, were there that entire time and have the sunburn and sore arms and sore voice to prove it. There were a maximum of maybe 21 there for several hours around midday. One family left for a softball game (the news came back later that their player hit a triple and stole a base).
We stood along 301 in front of the Bradford County Courthouse which is just north of where 16 comes in. Its a major truck route and today it was also a major motorcycle route as well, with a few to up to a dozen or so at a time riding by with thumbs up and horns honking. Most of the truckers were positive. In one outstanding series of maybe 20 cars or so, only 3 did not honk for Terri.
As always at such an event, I met some wonderful people who care about Terri and the Schindlers. They had a petition to sign -- the person in charge of it even got one of the workers there to sign it. I passed out some color copies of FL engineers Terri photo series w/conversation, one of the most powerful things bits of evidence we have.
They plan another rally sometime in the next few weeks in Macclenny (Baker County).
I'll be back after I visit sptimes.com Sunday Edition. KING'S REMARKS AT YESTERDAY'S SESSION are outrageous and IMO, are a result of pressures on King from Felos, et al and conversely from people who know right from wrong. King is flipping his lid and I don't want him as Senate President a moment longer.
