Persistent and Loyal Friends of Terri and of the U.S. Constitution,
I'm home from today's hearing which was held at the Criminal Courthouse Complex on 49th Street, Clearwater before Judge W. Douglas Baird.
Once I collect my thoughts from today's hearing which just adjourned about a half an hour ago, I'll post them here. Initially, I wasn't going to do any reporting re: the hearing but it was enlightening.
I learned today in the hallway that Terri's parents, siblings and other relatives are still unable to see her some three weeks later due to the criminal investigation of what may have been mosquito bites. But, that's a different legal matter.

I'm also concerned about the possibility of infection. Any word on how her bedsore is? Sorry, I'm not wowed by her space age bed alone! Healing her decubitus ulcer will take more than that, and without family/friend oversight, I do not trust the extra care is being given. Although it might make us hope that there is enough of a threat of oversight that keeps the ghouls at bay.
Anyways. (as they say on NYPD Blue)
Good night, fv and FR. Ya'll stay well, get some good sleep tonight.

Not to be cruel, but somehow this all seems like a scripted charade; that her legal team isn't all over the 'solitary confinement' of their client leads me to believe Terri is a pawn subject to the capricious whim of the Florida death industry ( doctors, lawyers, judges, electronic and print media ).
Nothing personal mind you. They are merely testing the will of the public in support of giving over guardian care for Terri to the Schindler family.
I don't like the lack of an immediate press release from Terri's legal team about the solitary confinement AND the total lack of medical information filtered by and through a law office about Terri's medical/dental status.
Why is Anderson and company sitting on these indefensible actions/censorship. It's a media bomb served to Terri's legal team on a platter, and nobody from the pro bono Round Table is running with it. Why not???
Who on Terri's legal team is really representing Terri???

lol, RD & BB, for tonight anyway, I really mean
"I have to believe . . .", I guess from a self-defensive standpoint. I have no answers for all these issues that don't make any sense at all, and haven't made sense for the past decade. But then this is a spiritual war and exceeds my understanding and strength. I truly do not know how Terri's parents have coped all these years on this roller coaster ride. I do know that there is no giving up or giving in on this life and death issue for this innocent woman, this
mother's child.
"Where there's life, there's hope." -- a statement to hang on to when there doesn't seem much else.
Good night, Terri. May God protect and defend you tonight and tomorrow. Anger doesn't help you or this dismal situation; resolve and consistency do.

"They are merely testing the will of the public in support of giving over guardian care for Terri to the Schindler family." Interesting. Are you saying that about Terri's team as well as about her opposing team? Then don't we have the answer to that (well, as much as we can ever have the answer to anything here, you know what I mean.)? Kick up a fuss. Don't take 'no' for an answer on all this. Leave claw marks on this downward path. I'm just thinking 'out loud' here.
So we each need to do something to kick up a fuss for Terri -- that's what FreepinforTerri is talking about on her thread. As the one who has to live with my conscience, I will confess that I need to write a(nother) letter to the editor.
And I will try to get to that rally in Starke for Terri tomorrow -- on 301 in front of Bradford Cty Courthouse from 8 to 5 pm, if any others in NE FL want to join. I need to get some sleep if I'm to do that . . . I hope I've done justice to what you're saying, RD. Cindydawg -- :o) -- ya'll please pray for me on this, and thanks so much.

"phenn & I pinged people on the other thread -- but this is something everyone needs to know. Praying this is not the dominoes being set up against Terri."
They've done everything to stack it against her before, so it probably means they're trying again. I think someone called it "the rule of Terri's law" - the law is followed except when it would result in Terri's death. Then it's ignored.
Time for me to dig in and work harder.

WE MUST GO NATIONAL AGAIN."
Good idea, even for a non-Floridian. Also it might be good to tell any FL Republican legislator who doesn't support Terri, that we're mentioning their voting record to the RNC.

Why is Anderson and company sitting on these indefensible actions/censorship. It's a media bomb served to Terri's legal team on a platter, and nobody from the pro bono Round Table is running with it. Why not??? The Schindlers filed a challenge to Michael's guardianship in 2002. The court has granted Michael endless continuances on the case.
Michael's continued outrageous behavior should certainly be brought up in court if it actually hears the Shindler's guardianship challenge while the temperature in Hades is still above 32°F, but otherwise what would you expect them to do? If they try to file other challenges to Michael's guardianship, I would expect he would move that those simply be consolidated into the existing challenge, and I would expect the court to grant such a motion.
One of the problems with today's governmental system is that even when appeal procedures exist for cases where a court or agency does something unreasonable, there are often no effective avenues of appeal in cases where a court or agency simply refuses to act.

The only way to crack a dam is to put a hole in it. filing separate alleged violations of law/court findings/guardian administration with the court each and every time will at the very least be a PR tool that can be used to tell America how many tines the court has refused to act upon real violations of law and or court orders.
Letting MS slide because something similar occurred in 2002 is scraping the bottom of the barrel of excuses. IMHO there is a total absence of aggressive responses by Terri's pro bono Round Table to the multitude of legal wrongs forced upon Terri and her entire family, and I sick and tired of it.
Alan Keyes, where are you?
Care to make an attempt to visit Terri? Sure, hospital staff will turn you away, but making a media splash with cameras rolling at the time of the denial/confrontation would give needed attention to Terri's solitary confinement and extensive oral surgery forced upon her.

Hi, fv -- thanks so much for posting that and other info. It helps to know these little tidbits of reports about how Terri is doing, what's going on, but how frustrating this has to be for Terri's family and friends, bc they are only snippets, the tip of the iceberg.
And at the same time we're (and Terri's family is) hearing about the bed, we and they are also hearing about the 5 extractions -- do we know if that includes the 2 her family noted were missing? Is it possible those extractions were in response to public outcry that she was missing those 2 teeth (ie, done after the fact)?
I'll look into sending something to Kyle -- that's a new angle, thanks for the new suggestions as we continue to seek positive effective action and helpful allies on Terri's behalf. Also letters to the editor to the St. Pete & Tampa papers raising the roof about lack of info still need to be sent.
If we are feeling so frustrated over the inability to finally free Terri, how much more must her family, lawyers, others trying to help her, giving so much for her? I just have to hope and trust and continue to pray that any weak spot of the opposing side of death will be found and exploited.
This is not a flesh and blood war . . . that much is plain. My prayers and petitions before the ultimate Judge continue -- will join others in prayer at 8 and 11 as I can, as well as at other times. Just a few min. from now.

see 168. We are going national again. It's worth nothing that the Florida Legislature PASSED A BILL JUST THIS PAST WEEK TO STOP SUICIDES ON STAGE. But, they threw away a bill that would protect people in Terri's situation SB692.
If someone wants to murder you, it's okay if they rob you blind first and do it behind closed doors but DO NOT CONDUCT AN ASSISTED SUICIDE ON STAGE! It's now against Florida law!!!
WE NEED EVERYONE'S ASSISTANCE AGAIN. Anyone who wants to email him, please contact Jon Kyl of Arizona. His contact info is here from yesterday. If you know any Arizona freepers, please ping them to this thread. TOLL FREE NUMBERS FOR CONGRESS ARE ALSO POSTED HERE FROM YESTERDAY.
There's a Terri Rally in Starke, Florida going on today. Any news from there yet? Thanks, FV

We have to look beyond the local organization and it doesn't work to hound our Florida bureaucrats. If we don't go NATIONAL, Terri's in real trouble. The Terri-ists will have won.
There's no time to "look into" Jon Kyl. Email him. He authored the bill that has passed about federal crimes and victims of same. TERRI'S DEFINITELY A VICTIM OF FEDERAL & STATE CRIMES but unfortunately, Florida DOES NOT CARE.
A Florida mind-set is not enough for Terri. Contacting her family is only making their lives more difficult. WE MUST BREAK OUT OF A FLORIDA MOLD - STAT!
Jeb's hands are tied up by litigation which in retrospect was a brilliant move by the ghoulish Terri-ists. I saw the other side IN PERSON. They intend to carry out Michael's wishes. WE MUST GO NATIONAL.

Florida does not care because Floridians are too occupied earning a living, amusing themselves, and paying taxes to worry about a "brain-damaged" woman who they "feel" is a "vegetable" anyway. The Terri supporters have fought so long that they are exhausted and don't know where else to turn. They have been rebuffed by "Republican" judges at every turn. Democrats George J. Felos and Michael R. Schiavo never had to do that much, for they have had the FL corrupt "Republican" judiciary solidly behind them for many, many years. FL voters haven't a clue.

Alan Keyes web site. Email his editor at:

Letting MS slide because something similar occurred in 2002 is scraping the bottom of the barrel of excuses. I'm not talking about "letting him slide because something similar occurred in 2002". The problem is that the court has a habit of sitting on Terri's cases for very long periods of time; if someone filed a new guardianship motion today, and it didn't get consolidated into the existing one, it would probably not get heard until 2006.

You're right. Republican Judges are Pro-Death as is Sen. President JIM KING. So much for the Republican Creed which is founded upon life and liberty. Democrats are also trying to kill Terri too. The killing of Terri is a bi-partisan effort. WE'RE NOT TIRED THOUGH, TEDDY... WE ARE OUTRAGED!!!
