Fact - Tom Delay does not have enough political power to shut down the 9/11 commission. He's already called for it's retirement & it won't go away. GWB does not have the political power to 'make it go away' Sometimes reality bites.

Fact -- he's a linchpin in the House.
Fact -- finding his office buried in faxes like this from the pubic on Monday morning puts a lot of pressure on a Congressman -- but it helps that he is already sympathetic.

Fact - he can 'huff & puff', but he won't be able to 'blow the commission down'. Linchpin, or not. No one in DC has the power to shut the commission down & it ain't gonna happen. We are all going to have to deal with that bit of 'reality'.

Yes they do -- by repealing P.L. 107-306 Title VI.
But, all we really need is for DeLay to keep rattling the sabre until there is so much pressure on Gorelick that she either a) resigns or b) stays, but, in effect, discredits any findings of the commission by her controversial presence.
