WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Jamie Gorelick, a member of the commission investigating the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, said Saturday that she received death threats this week after a number of conservatives alleged that her former work in the Justice Department may have contributed to failures leading to the attacks.
In the mid-1990s, Gorelick served as deputy attorney general of the United States. During that time, she wrote a memorandum establishing distinctions between intelligence that could be used for law-enforcement purposes and intelligence that could be used for national security purposes.
That separation was originally required as a safeguard against abuse of citizens' rights by government investigative agencies. But passage of the Patriot Act in the wake of the attacks eliminated the requirement.
The so-called "wall" governing intelligence uses has been a key subject at hearings of the commission. It has been blamed for being a main obstacle to better sharing of information in connection with the September 11 attacks.
"I can confirm that I've received threats at my office and my home," she told CNN on Saturday. "I did get a bomb threat to my home."
She added, "I have gotten a lot of very vile e-mails. The bomb threat was by phone."
ABC News first reported the story Saturday.

How do you know someone here made the threat? The threat could have easily come from a DUer or a Clintonoid for that matter.
To: Glenn
Now she is a "victim" the same as Hillarity.
Gotta love it.
That was exactly my first thought as I read the article, too. lol

Tiny Tom dasshole should be made to answer some questions as well, since he was the one that appointed her to the commission.
Mz. tiny tom dasshole should be required to answer some questions too, since she forced inferior screening machines into airports.

Wonderful timing as well. Just in time for the Sunday newspapers and talking head shows...

Dear Gorelick,
We are in receipt of your recently reported complaints and regret to inform you that we do not have "actionable intelligence" on these matters. Therefore, we will hold onto the records and if we can't just bury it, will get back to you in about 10 years. In the meantime, perhaps you should just resign from the 911 Commission, because your obvious conflicts of interest and partisan conspired and deployed investigative tactics, has resulted in a complete loss of any meaningful relevancy to your continued assignment.
You see Gorelick, where I come from, we call what you have become as...... nothing but a 3rd tit on a boar. .....absolutely useless!!
Poor, poor Gorelick...I am "Outraged" and "Deeply Saddened".........I know..it shows...LOL
God these Dims never fail at making me want to puke!

People never follow through on their word any more."
Why don't you make them real? You appear to advocate violence in this case - go ahead & do it - I dare you.

And that luncheon picnic in Ft. Marcy Park.
To say nothing of the great job she did providing security for the summer Olympics in Atlanta and how well she protected the lives of those on Flight TWA 800.......all under the lovely lady's watchful eye.

Grow up.
I'm mocking her and the very idea that someone who values their Second Amendment rights would dare be so careless and childish as to threaten someone they disagree with.
It very seldom happens on our side of the coin, but the Left is riddled with gun grabbers who follow through on their violent impulses.
But I gather you missed that.

Typical Democrat ploy: "Blame the messenger" and try to make the issue be about the Big Bad Republican Meanies instead of the real issue. If Gorelick's cover-up of her memo and her regular meetings with Tenet (which Tenet curiously didn't mention in his testimony) isn't legally criminal, it's morally criminal. Incredible conflict of interest.

Why don't you make them real? You appear to advocate violence in this case - go ahead & do it - I dare you.Why should mabelkitty or any other conservative? She's MUCH MORE DANGEROUS alive to her 'friends'.
Gorlick doesn't have anything to fear from us. We love having her around, especially on TV everyday!

No I made the assumption you meant what you wrote. Disd you mean it or not, and if you want to play innocent & 'hurt' why would I put any faith in what you say?

Look guys, she may well have received a LOT of death threats. But that doesn't automatically mean that the threats came from conservatives. OTOH, she might well be lying through her teeth, and hasn't received ANY threats. You just can't be sure with the Clintoids. And I challenge her to publish the vile E-mails and the addresses.
To: gov_bean_ counter
Her denial was unbelievably STUPID.
