How long will Jamie Gorelick remain untouchable?
Posted on 04/16/2004 3:23:18 PM PDT by Visioneer
Isn't it interesting that as long as Ms. Gorelick sits on the 9/11 Commission, she is exempt from having to testify to the 9/11 Commission and, in turn, answer for her actions to the American people.
Whether or not Ms. Gorelick recuses herself from time to time during these proceedings is irrelevant. What matters is whether or not she can and will be called to account for her knowledge about and her role in this whole matter.
If you haven't already do so, consider getting off the sidelines and calling for Gorelick's removal from the 9/11 Commission and, subsequently, her PUBLIC testimony...UNDER OATH.
Contact info for those of you who wish to make your thoughts about the Gorelick coverup known follows. Please post additional relevant addresses and telephone numbers where concerned citizens can send their comments.

Dear Commission Chairs:
Ms. Gorelick has lied to you and everyone else on the Commission. How can you trust her with anything else?
Sincerely,
AGYG

Yes -- Jamie Gorelick needs to be OFF the Commission and the Commission needs to be stopped. Now. I am inundating my Senators and others in Congress -- Bill Frist, Rick Santorum, Tom DeLay -- and my local Reps too. It is way out of hand, and We the People are paying for this travesty. THanks for posting all the faxes and phone numbers. They are truly 'fiddling while Rome burns,' for don't think for a minute that OBL and al-Q are taking a break from THEIR plans while the Senators navel-gaze.

Here's mine:
There are a lot of people in this country right now who wrongly believe that the President and his administration were opposed to an investigative commission into 9/11 because they feared discovery of sinister secrets.
The fact of the matter is that the President and his administration rightly believed that such an exercise would be an unproductive circus preceding a critical election watched by the entire world, and that could not be more evident than it is right now.
The longer Ms. Gorelick sits on this Commission and not before it, the more the legitimacy of your purpose diminishes and evaporates into insignificance.

It'll take as long as it takes the Republicans to censure Senator Dodd for his insensitive racial remarks praising KKK Robert Byrd. ...you see how quick they acted on that.

Just heard on ABC radio news that the FBI is investigating death threats made against Gorelick.

Cricket, I wrote to Kean at the info@ address; I am somewhat gratified to read in the American Spectator today that he asked her to "consider" resigning, although she refused.
I think we need to lean on the dem side too. I understand from the threads that Dashcle appointed her (and all the dems, Bush appointed the pubbies), now he is still an ELECTED official, and presumabley somewhat more sensative to public opinion.
Hopefully this will get a lot of "jaw-jaw" on the Sunday shows, my suggestion is that Monday we hit the phones to Daschle, Kerrey (maybe call the New School in NYC, his home base, or e-mail the commission to his attention as I did to Kean the other day) and start to lean on that side too.
I want this duplicitous woman's head on a plate, and I want her butt in the witness chair. The Spectator says she is there to protect Clinton and damage Bush, and maybe some would say that leaving here where she is thwarts that plan best. But I am not that partisan. Her actions, now and then, demand a resignation and an explanation, respectively, and we should keep up the pressure until we get both those things.

It will probably be over by Monday morning. She will receive tons of criticism over the weekend. I heard today that several fellow 9-11 Commission members were shocked that she had authored the memos currently under scrutiny, so it's now only a matter of time until she falls on her sword for Bill Clinton and Janet Reno.

Her sitting on the commission was part of the Clinton defense...if you really want to know where Clinton is sooo vulnerable...it's his Central African policies...9/11 is just a smoke screen to distract all the new revelations of Clinton's African adventures. As for Ms. Jamie...she's just another Susan McDougal...Clinton was using her to keep his own misadventures from full view. Richard Clarke was loading Tutsis and moderate Tutus into killing zones and then into refugee camps in neighboring Zaire. Blood diamonds for the Clinton's reelection campaign is my theory, to funnel illegal campaign contributions. This 9-11 Commission is a smoke screen. But what do I know?

Her actions, now and then, demand a resignation and an explanation It would make my day to see her give a press conference where all the media questions are "Will you apologize to the American people and the victims of 9/11?" (I can dream, can't I?)
