According to an article Rush just read, Jamie Gorelick was quietly asked by Commission Chairman Thomas Kean to resign from the 9/11 commission due to conflict of interest. According to an unnamed staffer, she refused. Should we start a poll on how long she lasts?

the 9/11 panel is a cover up/ attack dog tool of the clintongs. and america knows it.No, America doesn't.
This entire flap is being ignored by most "news" outlets, including my local fishwrap, which only printed a brief summary of Ashcroft's testimony and NO mention of either memo or his outing of Gorelick.
Those here are aware of it. Rush's listeners are aware of it. 220 million other Americans are barely or not aware of it at all!

I agree that Hatch should have exhibited outrage, but I'm not going to be outraged at him for calling for her resignation, wimpy as his delivery may have been.

Just more proof that GoreLICKER is nothing but a self-serving classless CLintonista Democrap Hack B*tch, whose only goal is to protect Huggy Bubba and the Clinton gang from any blame. My shoebottoms have more morals and class than this worthless piece of excrementI love Freeper subtlety.
To: OpusatFR
"Is she on this panel to protect Clinton?"
Absolutely, and my belief is that she is also there to give the Clintonistas classified information as well as testimony that is for the commission's ears and eyes only. Especially testimony from the President and Vice President.

This entire flap is being ignored by most "news" outlets, including my local fishwrap, which only printed a brief summary of Ashcroft's testimony and NO mention of either memo or his outing of Gorelick. This story was on my local news last night. They even quoted the "it's none of their business" statement, and the two anchors looked at each other like "Isn't THAT shocking?"
I'm loving it here in Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky.

No, America doesn't. every HIGH SCHOOL kid i have talked with says it IS a fraud...they are surprisingly tuned in to this. i think the dims have made a big mistake here...WHY would they put the country through this again? once was enough.it is an abomination, making us suffer through this agony of self-defeat and recriminations.
big mistake.
To: Toespi
bsolutely, and my belief is that she is also there to give the Clintonistas classified information as well from the BEGINNING, the clintonistas were on the offensive about this... they probably had clandestine meetings as soon as 9/11 happened to set up a scenario where it would look like bush's fault. they have been amazingly successful in creating this terrible environment.
but if the repubs could get their acts together, they could turn this thing around. i mean, they have been ground through the mill, taken their lumps, and they need to get on the offensive now and let the dems ride the negative press of having crippled our intelligence agencies AND accepted donations from airlines in place of more stringent safety rules.
THROUGH the election, the repubs could ride this wave, if they're smart. which i kinda doubt, to be honest.
To: OpusatFR
Yes, no question in my mind.
To: Dianna
I'm impressed.
In Atlanta, the local NBC affiliate's report Wednesday night on the 9/11 Commission was that Richard Clarke testified two weeks ago and Bill Clinton and Condi Rice testified last week. No mention of Ashcroft or his testimony.
However, at my 6 year olds soccer practice Gorelick was THE topic of conversation. Which leads me to believe that more and more people are going elsewhere for their news.

The Clintons will be happy with that. The report was reputed to be tough on Clinton, so destroying the commission's credibility is good for them.
To: LS
She had no choice but to refuse.
To resign would mean death.

Gore-lick appears to be the commissioner responsible for protecting the Clinton Legacy (tm). After all, it wouldn't be good for The Bent One if the commission's report was published about the same time as his book.
She's a plant. And tiny Tom Daschle is the one who selected her for the commission.

"They were talking about this on Fox and Friends this morning. They said this would open a whole can of worms but never expounded on it. What else is the commission hiding from us? "
Find out how Bob Kerry, an accused war criminal got on the panel and you may have your answer.
