Sounds good to me. And as long as they have a "Hannity type" without a "Colmes type", I'll watch.

This is such an obvious way around the idiot McCain-Feingold bill. Be the media then you can't be stopped. Look for lots of this.

Maybe the NRA can buy a newspaper next and we can have a few "objective" newspeople on our side. Thanks McCain-Feingold - your law isn't just for democrats anymore.

Thank you McCain-Feingold.

----and I sincerely believe that as soon as the Demotraitors get control of Congress, we will see the "next step" of McC-F, which will establish, for example, what is a "legitimate news source" and establish "standards" for "journalists"----remember Hillary's comments on "unedited and uninterpreted" news sources?

--and of course there were the comments of both D'Aschle and Gephardt on "freedom" of the press having to be "interpreted" in light of campaign finance reform---

Same thing Air America is doing. I think both sides are deliberately violating election law, but of course the law itself is patently unconstitutional no matter what the oligarchs of the Supreme Court say.

Actually (and I know I'll get in trouble for saying this), I prefer Colmes to Hannity. I don't agree with Alan Colmes on much of anything, but he's not as partisan as an opinion commentator could be, and he's certainly a respectable journalist. IMHO, Hannity talks way too much, and I suspect that he doesn't double-check his facts and talking points--which irritates me, because it undermines the conservative positions on things.

I don't think the NRA has bounced any checks lately.

Naw, I won't give you any trouble. You are entitled to your opinion. I see Colmes as a partisan hack 90% of the time, but that's my take. I usually change the channel when he speaks with the guest.

Yes, Hannity talks alot, but I think he does check his facts, especially since he deals with the same subjects on the radio. I haven't heard a time or at least can't remember a time, where he had to correct something he said or facts that he gave, but I may be wrong.

But, I consider myself an extreme partisan, so my views are slightly skewed.

What's odd to me is that the same people who support the NRA in this regard will be the same ones who are so opposed to Howard Stern on the radio.

Becoming an accredited reporter is relatively simple. If you have had three or more articles or stories printed in legitimate news sources within the past five years, you can join the National Writers Union and get legitimate press credentials and voila! You can start your own news organization.

We were all predicting this when CFR passed. I know I was. Everyone will start a news organization. What a stupid thing CFR is!
