Reporter says there is not link between Saddam and al-Qaeda. "In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program. He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including Al Qaeda members, though there is apparently no evidence of his involvement in the terrible events of September 11, 2001. It is clear, however, that if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare, and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons. Should he succeed in that endeavor, he could alter the political and security landscape of the Middle East, which as we know all too well affects American security." -- Hillary Clinton, October 10, 2002

Tony Blair said about the violence in Iraq - 'Don't think for a minute that there was not violence there before the war. There was - every day'.

Wolfie is already quoting Woodward's upcoming book. Move over Richard Clarke.

Dreier on Fox noted how Blair only has a 32% approval rating and yet maintains his resolve! A true statesman.

Pres. Bush does just fine when he speaks. But PM Blair is really something else. He's so gifted with a golden tongue. I could listen to his speeches all day!

Tony Blair answered. In summary, he said the region is safer for peace and history will show that going to war with Iraq was best and justified.
To: TomGuy
"Howard Dean was apparently on CNN this morning repeating the line that 'there was no connection between Iraq and al-Qaeda.'"
Actually I believe Dean said there was no connection between Saddam and terrorism. Which is beyond stupid.

All Brit PM's HAVE to be quick on their feet as part of the job requirement. They have a grilling new conference every week -- it's called Prime Minister's Question Time.

Blair's right about terrorism etc (except the IRA/Sinn Fein) but that's about it, in all other policies he's a spinning lefty who can't wait to surrender the UK to EU federalism.

I don't think Bush has really stood up for pre-OIF links between Hussein and Al Qaeda. Maybe they aren't supported by evidence.

You probably wouldn't like to listen to Blair when he's talking about how wonderful socialized medicine is.
I do appreciate Blair's war footing, however I'm of the opposite opinion when it comes to the speaking. Blair's all right to listen to, but I prefer Pres. Bush.

1. They are nitwits.

From now on out I'm going to refer to all Press Conferences as the Media Socialist hour!
To: what's up
I just think that PM Blair is one of the best public speakers alive today. I particularly love to listen to him speak in parliament. I really like Pres. Bush, too. But PM Blair has an ability with words that I don't often hear. I don't care for his socialist side, though.
