To: what's up
I just think that PM Blair is one of the best public speakers alive today. I particularly love to listen to him speak in parliament. I really like Pres. Bush, too. But PM Blair has an ability with words that I don't often hear. I don't care for his socialist side, though.

I really can't stand to listen to Blair speak when he's talking about socialism or ripping the Thatcher administration.
I think he's disgusting to listen to then.

I agree with you twigs. But it isn't just him. Most Brits have a winning way with the mother tongue. I've worked around a few and am totally in awe of our true English language. I learned so much from them...correct use of some words we misuse-also, I noticed he uses "atoll." My grandparents said that a lot when I was a child. I thought it was "hick Tennessee". Nope, it was England English.
Ex: I don't believe that atoll! (at all).
On another list I engage in, an English lady talks about her "fingers running riot over the keyboard" when she cannot type correctly. They are so very succinct and expressive!
