"It is bizarre the effect B. Clinton had on people. Especially women. I am a woman and I feel nothing but disgust, but for some, it is almost like some weird mind control. "
I had a conversation with lady friend about this subject once. She is a bright and successful professional.
Her: "I wonder what it is about Klinton that makes some women become so attracted to me."
Me: "It's power. It's a sad statement about women, especially women who think they are SO liberated. But it all comes down to one thing -- they are attracted to power -- even if they won't admit it."
Her, with scowl: "No way. These aren't the type of women who care about that stuff. Its got to be more than that."
Me: "Really? So, if Bill Klinton was a used car salesman all these successful accomplished women would throw themselves at him like they do now?"
Her: "Wow. Never thought of it that way. I see your point."

I disagree. A fair question would have been "doesn't Kerry's early support for the Iraq resolution make later criticism look like pure politics?"
Her question, worrying about him being "hamstrung" sounds more like the concern of a supporter. Why should objective reporters worry about politicians being "hamstrung"?

Oops. "attracted to him"

I do cite the actual exchange in my original post. I actually criticized the tactic on Gillespie's part. Yes, he might have scored a debating point, but I say that it's the kind of emotionalism that is more typical of Dems.

Generally, I am sorry when I miss seeing Katie.
But, this morning, I am glad I missed it. She, McAuliff and Hillary are anti-American, and it turns my stomach.
Just my opinion.

Katie was a socialist long before her husband ever got cancer. I'm a cancer survivor myself, so I don't make light of it. She's actually been effective as an advocate for getting the appropriate tests, including her own on-air colonoscopy.
Her sister Emily ~at the time a Virginia State Senator ~ also died a couple of years ago from cancer.
Cancer sux. I wouldn't wish it on anybody.

Q. "Do you regret saying VRWC?"
A. "The evidence has proven that it might not be a conspiracy, because it's right out in the open. But there's clearly a network with a radical right-wing agenda." Some softening!
The network is freedom lovers fighting the only threat to freedom...CRIMINALS
Freedom, a concept criminals like yourself Hillary, have never understood.

I do cite the actual exchange in my original post Ooops didn't see that. I thought that was a devastating response to an "idiotic" statement. Old Terry looks like a deer about to be hit by a car after that response. Katie was having a tough time controlling this battle.

Make that TWO cold blooded, scheming, ambitious and arrogant women.
To: McGruff
Katie was having a tough time controlling this battle. Agreed. Although she of course is on the same team as McAuliffe, I sense that even she finds his antics distasteful.

You do a REALLY great job of keeping us updated on the "Today" show...frankly, I just cannot watch Katie Couric anymore. I used to know a couple of girls like her in school...smiles that showed all 90 of their teeth (maybe it just looked like they had 90!), giggling all the while they asked which bargain store you bought your [obviously!] "inexpensive" dress at! Then sticking the knife in by telling you (still giggling) that it really DIDN'T look all that bad!
I'm surprised you still have a sane cell in your clearly very bright brain after watching KatieMattTerry and...HER!

I wonder if the FEC is counting the Today show as part of the DNC soft money pile?
If not, they should.

I thought Gillepsie used a clumsy emotional tactic to respond. Rather than simply laying out the facts of the coalition, he said "I don't think the mothers of soldiers who have died [from various foreign countries] think the coalition is a joke." That strikes me as more of a Dem debating tactic. You know, everytime these Dems and libs insult the coalition, they insult the countries who have contributed anything: materials, people, money. Those countries have people dying in Iraq.
What's amazing, is they say Bush hurts our reputation with our allies, but they are the ones deriding them. Hello, lefty idiots? Slap them (Coaition members) all in the face some more, and see how much they like us. No wonder it is so hard to get countries to sign up. They are promptly scoffed at by one of the 2 major parties in our country as not counting. Idiots.
