Anyone who says that the Shroud is a painting is an idiot. It is impossible for anyone to paint a negative that, when reversed, looks anything like the Man on the Shroud. Anyone who seizes on that one carbon-dating result to claim that the Shroud is only 700-800 years old is ignoring a mountain of other evidence, both in the image, and in the cloth itself. I noted that John Dominic Crossan, the ex-priest TV-theologian, recently asserted that the Shroud was a medieval painting.

Don't non-Christians believe Jesus was crucified in Jerusalem? I don't believe the fact that Jesus of Nazareth lived and died by crucifixion is in dispute, as this statement implies.
