Ahh...so that person just doesn't trust his/her fellow man. I can't say I blame him (have you been to some of our college campuses?)

But they still must be totally anti-gun, right? Or do they secretly want a gun for themselves?

There are a couple of different facets of leftism.

One is the person that wants to control other people - this person would want a gun for themselves but not for others.

Another is the person that wants someone to take care of them and relieve them of the responsibilities of life - this person would want no one but the "authorities" to have guns.
