[history]
French Ambassador Jean-David Levitte was just getting over the "diplomatic hurricane" caused by France's opposition to the war in Iraq when another scandal erupted.
He now has to defend his country against accusations of corruption in the United Nations' oil-for-food program, and he is blaming the right-wing news media.

But you're going to have to put a nice Burgundy on the table with that cheese. What's that white wine doing there? That white wine is almost certainly a bottle of Sauternes, the queen of all dessert wines. Its ethereal sweetness goes with Roquefort cheese better than anything else in the world. You must try it if you ever get the chance.
Dry red wines like Burgundy are not so good with blue cheese. Sweet red wines (e.g. Port or Banyuls) do much better.

I'll try it. I've never thought of rRquefort cheese as being sweet; thus I've avoided sweet dessert wines. (I also like my Roquefort with apples and walnuts.)

Right wing media is the only one who will tell the world the truth. The liberal left (commie) media will NOT tell the world the truth. Hey Bud, they are finding the evidence in the Iraqi Oil Ministry, as we speak.
What about the fact that Chirac lied to President Bush then sent a general to florida to learn our war actions in Iraq. Was that not a spy against the USA planted for Saddam? Your a disgrace trading with our enemy for the mighty buck

I've never thought of rRquefort cheese as being sweet; thus I've avoided sweet dessert wines. (I also like my Roquefort with apples and walnuts.) Ah, but the key with dessert wines is to enjoy them with food that is not too sweet. If you have a sugary piece of cake or candy and then taste a sweet dessert wine, it will not taste good. But if you have a stinky piece of cheese and perhaps some tart fruit and a few nuts, the dessert wine will be the sweetest part of the whole deal and will taste terrific.
