Gorelick smirking and trying to score points. Been following the thread, but haven't jumped in. Wanted to recommend that every time Gorelick asks a question, the reply needs to include the phrase"
"In hindsight, it's clear that our efforts were hampered by your policy directive of 1994..."

I was flipping through the channels tonight and saw Jim Thompson, one of the commissioners, on one of the shows with that creep BenVeniste.
Thompson said, "I have to say something that will probably get me in trouble, but I'm going to say it anyway. I've had enough of this..." then something to the effect that the PDB of Aug 6 really has nothing in it, and he's tired of it being hung around President Bush's neck.

I'm actually thinking that public perception, coupled with respect for Tenant, is causing the general tone of today's questioning, across the board, to be more reserved, fair and problem-solving. It is still a political animal, but quite different, even from the first time he was in front of the panel.

Exactly. Anyone who knows about Presidential operations understands that the President really never goes on vacation. The White House moves with him including all of the communications etc. He can operate anywhere in the world whether he is traveling to a foreign country or at his ranch in Crawford, Texas. He gets his daily briefings including from the CIA.
I agree with others here who wonder why no one asks Tenet how often he personally briefed Clinton. I think Woolsey met with him once or twice.

Gorelick looks like she shoots the same thing in her face as Nancy Pelosi. It's a fad in D.C. with all these power women, just like those big old eagle pins. They're like sheep.

Al D'Amato on Fox last night laid out some Al Qaeda/Iraq connections and had Susan Estrich squawking big time.

A few minutes ago did Gorelick say, "Brother Lehman"? Yes .. yesterday .. I forget who made the reference .. but the reference was that everyone on the panel were their brother and sister in finding out what when wrong on 9/11

The panel members and their questions and accusations is annoying to Tenet and he is letting them know it in his own way.
Was Tenet a mob boss in his last life?

The connections between OBL and Saddam go back over 10 years, were written about by the mainstream press during the 90's and acknowledged by former CIA director Woolsey and hundreds of others. It is something the administration should discuss more often as it would bolster support for the war in Iraq. Why they do not discuss this matter more often is beyond me and it's a tactical mistake, imo.
EXACTLY. I have to admit I was hoping Bush would've mentioned some of these connections in his news conference last night... would've been an eye-opener for many Americans not tuned into this stuff.

Thanks--I've had that thread in another window as I thought the Rabinowitz piece was excellent and I wanted to read the replies later after testimony.
Very good.

I watch no TV other than FNC on occasion. They too irk my last nerve.
I rarely, if ever, respond to online polls as I don't like to give their website a hit.
Basically, I HATE THE MEDIA
