Dawn Fabuien and her daughter, Kaitlynn, 3, from Aston, Pa., cheer as buses bringing soldiers from the Army National Guard’s 249th Engineer Detachment from Delaware arrive at Fort Dix, N.J. on Tuesday. Their husband and father, Sgt. Bill Fabuien, was among the soldiers in the unit, which was returning from a yearlong deployment to Iraq.
 
 
 
Sgt. Nikki Huddleston, of Glocester, R.I., holds her 2-year-old daughter, Samantha, as her husband, Sgt. George Huddleson, center, carries her gear after her arrival at the National Guard airbase at Quonset Point in North Kingstown, R.I. on Tuesday. Over 1,000 people were on hand to welcome back Nikki and other members of the 115th Military Police Company. Sgt. George Huddleston is a member of the 118th Battalion, which returned from Iraq to the same airbase on Saturday.
