Interesting. I thought they never let those Green Jackets off premises...

I find it ironic that Phil was the only player answering the "what's it like to be the best player never to win a major?" question, but now will be the only player to have to answer the "can you win the Grand Slam?" question.

Even though my money (literally) was on Ernie Els, I was happy enough to see Mickelson take it. The older I get, the more I like the PGA Tour. There are probably more Republicans in golf than in any other sport. In John Feinstein's "A Good Walk Spoiled," he notes that if the PGA tour could pick who it wanted for President, it would probably be Rush Limbaugh. A tip of the topper to Phil for winning an exciting Masters. Bobby Jones bump.

Why the hell is he calling a golfer! Bush should be calling the families of the military personnel killed in Iraq. I have been a supporter of Bush and now I am getting more and more concerned about the way Bush is hiding from the war on terror instead of being out front every day.
I am listening to Michael Savage right now. He says it simply: Either Bush goes on the offense tonight with a speach similar to that given by General Patton to his troops or the Bush Presidency is over!
I totally agree.
I enjoy the game of golf, but I enjoy life and the chance for life for my children and grandchildren. And the chance to continue on living without being murdered by terrorists within our country.

That was a nice gesture by President Bush. Like many of us, he was probably happy for Phil finally breaking through in a Major, and the Masters at that. Only with the President, his calls always go through.
But I think we can cut Phil some slack on his victory "jump" for joy. Besides being a thirty-something white guy, he knows that golfers have little need for a vertical leaping ability. Just keep your head down and your feet on the ground...
