Checking various web news sources, I have yet to see anything. Top-of-the-hour radio news says he is still "hold up" in Iraq.Maybe Bush will verify this tonight.

You sure have a good sense of humor. I find it odd you can't get any dates. You must really be homely. It's the odor of muffins that scares the girls away.

"... was Sadr's deputy who was arrested. His bodyguards were going to fight, but saw the US soldiers and gave up." I know the Arab press is screeching about a "Fallujah massacre" but, if you ask me, we were starting to look too soft. All these groups in Iraq were starting to see U.S. troops as easy targets and pushovers. We showed, in Fallujah, that we mean business (and I hope we're not done there).
This is what one of the Iraqi bloggers (who has been saying for months that we should surround Fallujah and pacify those areas) said yesterday:
"You are going to be amazed what a little bit of firmness can produce."
"Once everybody understand that the U.S. is not going to be shaken, and they are watching the polls anxiously, and that she will stop at nothing to achieve her goals, and can be ruthless, you will start seeing results."
"As far as the Mehdi Army and Al Sadr are concerned, you will soon see how this soap bubble explodes harmlessly into thin air."

When youre driving down to Najaf at night
And youre feelin that wild turkeys bite.
Dont give Mullah Sadr a ride
Cause jack black is right by your side.
You might get taken to the jailhouse and find
Youve been arrested for jihading while blind!

Given the fact that
this AFP report that was released over 2 hrs ago makes no mention of Sadr--going so far as to quote al-Araji who, by the way, does not mention Sadr's "capture"--I'd say the Sadr capture story is bunk.
A nice thought, but still bunk.

Thanks for the insight. I couldn't agree more that we need to roll these people up and fast, not because we're bloodthirsty, but because Muslim culture doesn't value Marquess of Queensbury rules. They think we're idiots....they know Kerry's an idiot for sure, that's why they're praying he'll win.
