A: She says she spoke with INS about building a database on terrorists. She says we failed to get information to the INS. She doesn't recall any cabinet meeting that addressed keeping terrorists out of the country

Lehman's reading of the article that sighted DOD restraints against terrorists because lawyers were protecting their turf, gets to the heart of the matter. Reno and Co. treated terrorism as a criminal matter. Even more important, is Gorelick's role, since she was one of those very lawyers...both at Justice and the DoD.

Surprised that Kerrey is following up on this. Cabinet meetings saying that we should have treated them as an army.
Now saying he didn't like Freeh's answer saying Freeh was hiding behind the Gore Commission.

Reno said she wasn't in office - Kerrey didn't let her get away with it.
