WHAT IS SHE DOING ON THE COMMISSION?Keep her on. This Commission should never have been approved. Best to descredit it now and MoveOn.

Awesome re fingering Gorelick. WHAT IS SHE DOING ON THE COMMISSION? This has been my question from the beginning. Why was she EVER allowed on this commission? Who chose these people?

Excessive wall between intelligence and FBI was done in a 1995 memo, which went beyond the law. It was a policy directive. Ashcroft had it declassified, and the author is a member of the commission (Gorelick). HAHAHA!I was listening in my car and missed bits. Ashcroft dropped a rhetorical MOAB, didn't he?

The PDB was written by a CIA operative.
I thought I saw a thread or post that the White House is considering the unusual step of giving up the person's name, but don't quote me on that. LOL

Jamie Gorelick = Hillary Clinton's "eyes and ears" in the Justice Dept.
Bingo, and exactly why she is being protected.

There is now no way that Gorelick can faithfully fulfill her duties and responsibilities as a member of the commission. She weakened the nation's security by carrying water for the ACLU at a time that she knew or should have known al-Qaeda was going to war with the US.

Hillary Clinton is your answer! Eyes and ears of Hillary Clinton in the Justice Dept. I'll try to find the quote when this is over, if you would like.

Somebody earlier on this thread said Tom Daschle picked her.

Did I get that right ..did Ashcroft just blow these folks out of the water?

Boy, is he ever prepared. I'm sure Ben Veniste is sharpening his fangs. He tries so hard to intimidate the "witnesses" but he has his work cut out for him with AG Ashcroft. Can't wait.
To: kcvl
FYI, NRO's The Corner is staying on this...the more publicity the better...I had stepped out of the room and missed the part that the Commission had not asked for Gorelick's memo (snort, giggle) so Ashcroft very kindly declassified her memo for them.
You gotta love it.

Wait until Benny Boy questions AG...You mean the mob lawyer, Ben Veniste? Yes, my mouth is watering for that.
But I think the climax would be a Gorelick v. Ashcroft smackdown.

You sound just like me. I try to arrange our social life these days around politics.
Was scheduled to go on a horse carriage tour downtown with a group of friends and then high tea. Had to cancel because of rain and most of us were delighted because we're all political junkies.
Must be the air in the Carolinas. LOL

What was the reasoning the Kissinger decided NOT to chair this commission? Conflict of interest with regard to bin Laden's family? But I'm sure no democrat will ever see a conflict of interest wrt Gorelick.
