This political affinity marketing has been going on for quite some time. It is nothing more than a clever marketing ploy. I wouldn't be surprised if the guy's cousin is running a conservative version of the same thing.

I worked inbound sales for an affinity long distance company. The same product was marketed to the 2nd Amendment Foundation and the the Gay PRIDE network.
