Barbara (L) and Jenna Bush, the daughters of U.S. President George W Bush, walk together from the Darnall Army Community Hospital in Fort Hood, Texas, April 11, 2004 after President Bush (news - web sites) and members of his family visited with soldiers wounded in Iraq (news - web sites). Bush awarded 10 purple hearts to troops recovering in the hospital, after attending an Easter Sunday Church service at a chapel within the army base in central Texas.

Yall ought to go off and compare your sex stories with Gretch and your fashion no no's with Demetrius whilst his daughter is out catting around with the older engineering students telling howlers about her mother who pretends to be a man on the net!!! And all of you wear hose and girdles please. And those big ole bras with eight fasteners on the front. And alot of powder, smelly powder and big old fasioned clip on earrings. And do tease your hair.
I am truly sorry for the hateful post. I just get that way sometimes.

"The girls are gorgeous, and perfectly appropriate for a chapel on a military base in texas."
While the girls are pretty, the clothes are NOT perfectly appropriate for a chapel on an army base in central Texas.
It is never appropriate to wear a beat up jeans jacket over a pretty white Easter dress. It is not appropriate to wear a slinky dress with spaghetti straps to Easter services on a military base in central Texas. It may, however, be appropriate in Louisiana, but then things are different in Louisiana, since it was settled by the French.
I hope this helps.

It reads to me that Demetrius S. is simply responding to the many responses to him.

"Carter also illustrated a children's book, "The Little Baby Snoogle-Fleejer," (Times Books, 1995), written by her famous father."
"Young Jeremy, who cannot walk, is abandoned at the seashore one day when the others flee at the sight of a terrifying sea monster."
Hahahaha! No doubt an autobiography written about his encounter with the killer rabbit, (names changed to protect the innocent rabbits!)

I know that for certain.

my mother in law, a true southern lady, died in her bed after a long illness at 86 and she had her panty hose on. We insisted she be buried in panty hose. The funeral home understood. Now that is scary. I am looking forward to spending eternity with no underwear at all, except underpants. That is a rule. Underpants are forever. No exceptions.

It is appropriate to wear any damn jacket you have on hand when the weather turns unexpectedly cold and rainy and you have to walk from a car to wherever. What part of this do you not understand? Once I had to wear a parka over my Easter dress when we had a snowstorm here one Easter. I of course took it off when I entered the church, but I wasn't going to freeze to death simply to make my outfit look better.
AND, the spaghetti straps are covered by a sweater, which even if you don't like it does cover them.
Get a life.

Why, thank you. :)
I'm gonna scare hell out of everyone here when I show up as Mistress Prudence, Their Majesties' Deportment Mistress and Keeper of the Royal Standards, hair up in a bun, little glasses perched on nose, all in black velvet with no skin showing except my face and hands.

"If the parents get it into their children's heads, throughout the years they are growing up, that it is important to dress modestly, they are far less likely to crash the fashion guard rails when they are selecting their own clothing as adults."
That has been our experience as well.
To: Demetrius Slaughter
I think they could have dressed more appropriately, but it seems that quite a few posters here on this forum think that I should not be allowed to make such a mild observation for some reason or other. Many people just have very thin skins which is why we must develop our thick skins. Stick around :-)

By the way, you never responded to my original comment to you.
You do realize, don't you, that you are taking the same attitude towards dress as the Taliban? You are blaming women for being temptresses, and men, of course have no self-control, so it is all the women's fault for any problems. Hence in Afghanistan, the burkha.
