[history]
Sen. John McCain, a registered Republican and former Republican presidential contender, yesterday emphatically said that he will not switch sides to become the vice presidential running mate for Democrat Sen. John Kerry.
For more than a month, political analysts, pundits and Sunday talk-show panelists have said that Democrats view Mr. McCain and Mr. Kerry as a "dream ticket." Mr. McCain has said he cannot imagine accepting such an offer, though he would consider it

"I am supporting President Bush. I've already campaigned for him. I am his co-chairman, with Sen. Jon Kyl in Arizona, for his re-election. I believe that President Bush deserves re-election," Mr. McCain said.AMEN!

"Dream ticket"? I dreamt of monsters and woke up screaming. I dreamt of watching something unfold that is comical and woke up laughing. I'd say this was going to be a funny dream for us, and a nightmare for McCain!

Even this "John" knows that Kerry was aiding the enemy and contributing to the suffering of POWs.

I'm in Arizona. 6 years ago this guy ran as a conservative...and I voted for him.
Following his career, I believe if he was offered a spot with Kerry, he would jump at the chance.

I saw the interview last night. Seemed pretty clear to me. Also, McCain's support of the war in Iraq was iron-clad. For all his other faults, his a good guy on the most important issue.
To: kattracks
The New York Times also called Mr. McCain a choice that would guarantee a Kerry victory. Aint it funny - the Dimbulbs admit they need a Republican on their ticket to assure victory.

"The New York Times called Mr. McCain a choice that would guarantee a Kerry victory."
I see the NYT has learned NEA taught Liberal math. It goes something like this: The DemocRat party has support of 35% of the voters, and John Kerry has support of 35% of the voters, and John McCain has support of 35% of the voters. Since 35+35+35 = 110, A Kerry/McCain ticket wil win with 110% of the vote, not even counting the dead voters.
To: kattracks
The Dems had hopes that McCain would add some flash to the sinking Kerry campaign.

As long as McC continues to criticize the president on various issues he will continue to be the darling of the america hating media.
If he wasn't such a political whore he would refuse to exploit the war for his own face time on TV

I don't know whether this interview was a repeat,or whether I was watching another interview last week, but McCain said the exact same thing. He is supporting GW for re-election because he deserves a second term.
It would appear the dims think that McCain is as disloyal as they are. He is not.
He could not have been more clear. He LOVES being a republican, and LOVES the ideals of the republican party. He waxed eloquent on Lincoln and Teddy Roosevelt, his personal republican heroes. It was a very good interview.

McCain saw the handwriting on the wall. There was nothing in it for him. He has already tasted defeat, and doesn't want to do it again at the hands of President Bush.
To: kattracks
Too bad. We could have killed two birds with one stone.

Well, good for McEgomaniac... today.
But I had gotten to thinking: how great would a Kerry/McCain ticket be? Two self-absorbed, prickly, defensive, hot-tempered blowhards against as natural and unpretentious a guy as W?
It could have been fun.

John McCain Exposed! Photographed in his Natural Habitat!

Squirrel of the Month
John McCain

After being asked, repeatedly, to make Senator John McCain our squirrel of the month; We, here at the Global Squirrel Network have looked into the matter and decided:
1) He does seem to have the ability to draw people to him . . . as do squirrels.
2) He also possesses the unique ability to make bitter enemies of neighbors . . . Just like squirrels!
3) He has suffered inhumane treatment at the hands of humans, giving him a most personal insight into the lives of everyday squirrels.
4) And finally, he does look like us. For example, the photo, at left, is certainly the face of a squirrel, fiercely protecting his nuts.
