Sony Plans Movie Based on Richard Clarke's Book
Former counterterrorism adviser Richard Clarke's best-selling book may soon be a movie.
Sony Pictures Entertainment has purchased the film rights to "Against All Enemies," Sony vice chairwoman Amy Pascal told The New York Times for its Saturday editions.
In the best-selling book, Clarke, a counterterrorism adviser to the past three presidents, charges that the Bush administration prioritized Iraq above threats from al-Qaida before and after the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks.
The movie version is to be produced by John Calley, the entertainment group's former chairman, who worked on the 1976 Watergate drama "All the President's Men" at Warner Brothers.
"You could shoot the first 56 pages and have an extraordinary half of a movie, then it goes on to more enthralling stuff," Calley told the Times. "If we were able to do `All the President's Men' with people meeting in garages and whispering in parks, then certainly with someone sitting at a table in the White House we could have a remarkable event."
Clarke retired in 2003 after 30 years in government and reiterated the claims made in his book during testimony before the bipartisan commission investigating the Sept. 11 attacks.
Sony Pictures did not disclose terms of the deal.

Jon Lovitz should play Clarke as his character "Tom Finnegan." Yeah. That's the ticket.

The only way to not get this movie made is to blow up some things, threaten violent attacks, and engage in general terroristic activities. This way the left will cave and work hard to appease us, Although they might have the un issue a proclomation first :)

Why ami I reminded of the photographer/journalist (Dennis Hopper) in Colonel Kurtz's camp at the end of Apocalypse Now?

This movie will hopefully be met with the same outrage the hatchet job on the Reagans was.

Liberals trying to rewrite history in order to protect Klintoon.

As incensed as I was about the distortion and hit piece on Reagan that they pretended was a movie, I didn't get overly active about it. I figured, that is just what libs do. Most American's loved Ronnie, so I wasn't concerned.
This is different folks. The lies from Clark are incredibly eggregious. They aren't just a different perspective, or a machiavellian presentation of events. They are in many ways 180 degrees the opposite of truth. Sheer evil in my opinion.
The Lefties have to realize that they cannot get away with changing history and presenting it as entertainment, knowing full-well that most sheep will walk away believing the lies are fact.
I've never been an activist, other than to drop money on FR or a few politician's (both Bush and Lazio - would have Reagan if old enough to have money).
I'm fed up though. I hate the lying and distortion that the Leftists use to support their agenda, almost more than the agenda itself! I'm sick of it. It has got to be stopped!
Please, more activist Freepers, let me know what I can do. Boycott, write Sony Executives, help with a protest, help fund a counter-movie (maybe Mel would pitch in heh heh). Anything - What, in the excellent FREEPER opinions here, is the best thing I / we can do to suppress the evil lies and get the truth out, other than remain silent?

I'd like to nominate Chris Matthews for the part of Clark.
He wouldn't even need makeup.

Question, how long have we had automatic paragraph tags on FR? I've been inserting them foreverin in my ridiculously long posts and forgot to this time - see that it works without = arrrgggh!

Dereliction Of Duty
Losing Bin Laden
Why America Slept
First Strike...TWA 800
Legacy...Paying The Price For The Clinton Years
There's a few more good ones out there, just ripe for the pickin's......if you've got the guts to tell the truth!!
