Iraqi newspaper Al Raqeeb displays pictures April 10, 2004 of two men it said the German Embassy in Baghdad had confirmed went missing on April 7 on a road near the volatile Sunni town of Falluja. Note...

"The mujahideen, many of them grandfathers, shopkeepers, young men and even boys..."

"The highway out of Fallujah was filled with fleeing families. The elderly, children and pregnant women clung to ancient cars and battered lorries, piled high with belongings."

Yo! Iraqi Warrior!

Stop now and kiss your mother 'hello' in the morning.

Stay, and die.

It's really pretty simple.

George Bush keeps telling us these guys "hate freedom" and they "hate democracy".

The talking heads on TV keep telling us it's all about power and money, and the Iraqis simply have no feeling one way or the other about freedom or democracy.

Then these guys ambush some German embassy people and tell their story to a Brit reporter, and what is that story ~ that they "hate the ideas".

Is it possible "W" is correct and all the talking heads are wrong?

"We do not want their capitalism, we do not want communism. We have our own ideas about how we want our country to be run in a Muslim way. We support the Shia leader Muqtada Sadr, not because of his ideas; they are not good or bad. We are supporting him with money, weapons and men because he is against the Americans."

What are their ideas?

How do they propose to promote them?

If they win, it's a terrible civil war between them and their former allies; surely they realize this?

I wonder if the Germans are still glad that they sold Saddam all of that weapons technology?

The media savviness of the latest ShiaSunni campaign against the US is astute and is creating the best publicity for the irakis who oppose the US.

US needs an unambiguous victory ASAP.

"We do not hate the Americans and British, we hate the ideas they have brought here. We will now fight every person who tries to bring those ideas, including the Iraqi Governing Council.

Caught in their own rhetoric.

Perhaps the 95% of the Iraqi people feel differently.

I know that the American public didn't accept the ideals of terrorist thugs when they acted out that same opinion on 9/11.

All in all, simply stated, they are saying "if you are not a terrorist then you will die"!

They don't want to return to days of Saddam and having their relatives tortured to death in Abu Ghraib prison, and they don't want any Western capitalist ideas or democracy either.

They only want a peaceful Islamic state, where all can live equally, terrified and enslaved, women in Hefty bags and armed men with towels over their angry faces. How lovely for them.

Did anyone bother to explain to these people that in a Democracy they can choose what kind of system they want. The only thing were trying to impose is the very right to choose the things they were talking about in the beginning of this paragraph.

"they would fight the coalition, the Iraqi Governing Council - whose members they denounce as collaborators and placemen - and any of Saddam Hussein's supporters." Who wouldn't they fight, I wonder?

As the liberal media in this country increases it's attack on our President there will be a corresponding increase in the attacks on our troops in Iraq.

The time to make those responsible aware of the consequences of their actions is now, before any more troops are attacked.

40 Americans dead and 500 Iraqis dead. It looks like their Allah had a bad time of it. They sound just like Al Qaeda to me, remember 9-11.

Not a good basis for a strong alliance.
