Psycho-Analysis of Air America Affilate Station Call Letters
Posted on 04/08/2004 10:26:18 PM PDT by Doctor Raoul
Air America, launched on the premise that the left wing view is a minority view on the radio airwares has itself been criticized for it's negative impact on existing minority access to the airwaves. In light of that impact, let's spell out the call letters of the Air America affiliates. Considering Air America's reviews calling it boring, yet it displaced the "Black Voices" program in New York City which had a loyal audience, the call letters WLIB now stand for "We Layoff Interesting Blacks".
In Los Angeles, where Air America displayed Korean language programming, KBLA now stands for, "Korean Broadcasting Leaving Airwaves".
In uber-liberal Portland, where Clear Channel's syndicated programming is often blamed for a loss of local radio jobs, local talent displaced by Air America feel that KPOJ now stands for "Kicking People Outta Jobs".
Should Air America hire compassionate liberal Julianne Malveux, who once wished Clarence Thomas dead, the call letters of it's Inland Empire affilaite KCAA could stand for "Kill Conservative African Americans".
Given the pale shade of diversity at overwhelmingly white Air America, WMNN in Minneapolis now stands for "We're Mostly Not Negros".

Thought I'd just drop a few "touchstones" of the liberal's mantra on their pointy little heads.

I caught day two and even as a train wreck, it couldn't hold my attention.
I expect Air America to be bought out with a hostile takeover by a college radio station.
Sheesh, the are pirate radio stations broadcasting out of a van down by the river that have better production values.

Darn, I forgot one, WNTD in Chicago. And in Chicago, where Spanish language programming was displaced in favor of Air America's all English, all the time format, WNTD now stands for "Who Needs The Diversity?".
