Tender moment ... US Marines pray over fallen buddy
GRIEF-stricken US Marines huddle together in prayer over the body of a dead pal yesterday. For a few precious moments of mourning the tough troopers turned from the fury of battle at Fallujah to bid him farewell.
The Marines had fought hard to keep their buddy alive. They had bound his head wound after he was hit by shrapnel, then defied enemy fire to carry him to a first-aid post. But nothing could save him.
Mercy dash ... US soldier carried to safety
The casualty was among more than 40 Americans killed so far this week. At least 480 Iraqi rebels died in the same period.
The bodies of some Americans have yet to be recovered. An official said: We dare not reach them because of the fighting.

Thank you for getting the pictures.
It makes me livid to think of these brave men being maimed and dying on the battlefield while utter creeps like Fat Teddy Kennedy, Kerry, Ben Venasty and others like them sit at home and second guess.
It is also very discouraging to hear that they are having to leave Marine's bodies because they cannot get to them.
These Iraqi militants need to pay dearly for what they have done. I suppose the lying politicians will have to wait for God's judgment.

Here are the photos, directly linked to the ones on The Sun's website. (So you don't have to go visit their semi-porn website to see them!!) -

What sad pictures!! I'm so proud of these guys! And grateful!
A side note --- The URL's of the photos are -

I'll bet I know what your problem was - you probably right clicked on the photo in Internet Explorer and all you got back was a popup telling you the image is copyrighted, right?
What I did was to use Netscape's web browser (free download from netscape.com if you don't already have it) and when I right clicked on the images I at first got the same annoying popup, but then when I closed that popup it was immediately replaced with the rightclick menu I wanted to see, and I could then do a "Copy Image Location" to put the URL of the photo into the Windows copy buffer ready to be pasted to anywhere I want it. (Or I could have saved it from the rightclick menu or whatever else).

There was a video clip today of that tank that got hit. One guy was getting and slumped over. He didn't look good at all. I wonder if this was him in the picture.

Almighty Father, whose command is over all and whose love never fails, make me aware of Thy presence and obedient to Thy will.
Keep me true to my best self, guarding me against dishonesty in purpose and deed and helping me to live so that I can face my fellow Marines, my loved ones and Thee without shame or fear.
Protect my family.
Give me the will to do the work of a Marine and to accept my share of responsibilities with vigor and enthusiasm.
Grant me the courage to be proficient in my daily performance.
Keep me loyal and faithful to my superiors and to the duties my country and the Marine Corps have entrusted to me.
Make me considerate of those committed to my leadership.
Help me to wear my uniform with dignity, and let it remind me daily of the traditions which I must uphold.
If I am inclined to doubt, steady my faith; if I am tempted, make me strong to resist; if I should miss the mark, give me courage to try again.
Guide me with the light of truth and grant me wisdom by which I may understand the answer to my prayer.
Amen

Good night, Chesty, wherever you are

I don't know if that is him or not, but I also saw the video today.
I wonder what hit the tank. I guess I figured one would pretty much have to destroy the tank to do that damage to the crew, but then I don't know much about tanks.

God Bless our brave men and women in harms way, I hope and pray they know how many people here at home are praying for them and how much we all appreciate what they are doing for us and the world. They are fighting for a just and noble cause and I'm just one of the millions who are continuously praying for them. For those who have made the ultimate sacrifice, they will be forever memorialized as the heroes they are, and their families will be forever in our thoughts and prayers.
May God Bless and Protect Our Troops

I don't understand your point. What sentence are you talking about? If I badly stated my point, I apologize, but what exactly are you complaining about?

For you all, good news is coming to you all my dear great Americans. You will hear it soon.
I am so upset right now, my Lord so sad to hear this. Sadness is beyond of talking about it. My Lord, I wish I could hug you all and tell you how much Lord loves you. Your lost is my lost. Your tears are my tears. My Lord, I am so sad now. God bless you all.

Not long after I clicked into this thread, my wife looked up from across the room and said "what in the world? are you crying?" I told her no, of course, but she came over, looked at the screen, read the story. "You *where* crying," she said after a moment, and then burst into tears.
This is a powerful, moving story & picture. Thank-you for posting it.
May God assuage the grief of this Marine's family, and comfort them in this time of sorrow. Their loved one fulfilled the motto of the USMC to the uttermost: *Semper Fidelis*--Always Faithful.
Rest In Peace, fallen warrior.
