VANITY: I'll Make an FR Donation for Everyone Who Pledges to Boycott MSNBC

I've been driven to post my first vanity by the out and out disgusting behavior of Chris Matthews and Don Imus. Matthews gave full rein today to 4 9/11 widows spouting conspiracy theories...he even said that VP Cheney should be given sodium pentathol before his Commission testimony. Imus has become unwatchable. He has gone far beyond humor in his insults of President Bush - far beyond.
So, here's the deal... the only way we can hurt MSNBC's ratings is by boycotting them ourselves. I'm willing to donate 25 cents to FR for every boycott pledgee on this thread - my maximum is $50, but so is my minimum!
I'm hoping that others might be willing to match my donations. How about it guys? I would love to wake up in the morning and find at least a hundred pledges.

Are you in college? Are you living with your folks yet? How old are you? What's your goal in this life?

I'm not sayin you. Are Rush, Reagan and John Wayne wrong? They knew the media and the Leftist Boomers were the Fifth Column, why even deny that??
To: faithincowboys
I'm not denying that some boomers are liberal. I stand by my belief that most aren't!

I have recently taken a break from teaching-- I intend to go back to school and am in the process of going back to school to get an advanced degree. I plan to write (which I do) and produce documentary films.

Where are the giants??? In San Diego, trailing the Padres 1-0, top of the 9th.
I see you're still dazzlin' 'em with your charm.
To: hole_n_one
Well, they can't handle it. I am glad that I create a stir. I'm not a Slade Gorton, fumbling, go-along-to-get- along RINO wuss.
To: Brad's Gramma
What have you done in this life?
To: faithincowboys
Teaching in elementary? High school? College?
I'm assuming you're still w/your folks. Right? IT'S NOT A TRICK QUESTION!!!
The documentary films sound like fun. What subjects? And, because I flat out don't know...please tell me how that is going to "help the cause", if you will?

Backtracking....
Rush is a great guy. Love him. He hates the Boomers too.
Rush IS a boomer! (And I've never known Rush to hate himself.) ;)

I was teaching middle. Being a Professor was once a dream--it's a great life. We'll see what I pursue. I am dealing with applications now. I still am accepted to a creating writing Master's degree-- I'll see if I'll go do that. It's not flashy or a money making thing, but it is delightful.
To: Fawnn
Rush hates Boomers. He always has. He exempts himself from the Boomers he hates, but he acknowledges that Boomers have been Hell on this country.

It's worse than you thought.
I saw later that Chris had the one female commissioner on and she evidently gave him either a copy of the PDB or some notes about what was on the PDB (a classified document), and they were discussing the fact that after reading the PDB document, ANYBODY COULD HAVE CONNECTED THE DOTS.
Horrible people!
I already boycott MSNBC - usually only see them as I channel surf by them, and I'm a monthly donor. But .. I applaud your effort.

Nope, not still with my folks. Why would you assume that?
To: faithincowboys
I think the no favors part is right. Seems like the silence is deafening, got to get out and up front and go churchill on the folks, big time. Do some FDR. That'll kick over some cans.
The terror shmucks do not disappoint though, abducting and threatening the Japanese folks on film?
We can count on them in a way.
They do make the blood boil. I would so very much love to be a part of this relatively small group of elite heros going in after these creeps.
3D Doom
This gettin old thing has definate negative connotations.
Wouldnt take me if I begged em.
Probably just run out of breath and get some younger, more capable fellow hurt.
But I really want to be there right now.

Oh, you really are dense. Doing a documentary on media bias would hurt the cause how? Doing a film on Clinton Losing Bin Laden would hurt the cause how??

LOL. Thanks for the humor break.

I've raised three children. All conservative, wonderful, drug free, job holding, educated people. I've had the HONOR of helping raise my one grandchild, Brad.
I've taught first graders to read, for many years....THAT was GREAT! When the light bulbs went off in their heads, it transferred to their faces...and boy, did they take off. To this day, I can be out in public, and suddenly hear someone yell "Mrs. ***!!!!", and suddenly am being hugged by a very tall previous first-grader. WHAT FUN!!!
I've been involved with church, with making blankets for girls your age who've chosen to NOT have an abortion. Let's see....I've taught sewing at schools and at a local fabric store.
I've been very vocal with my conservatism. Made WONDERFUL friends on FR...absolutely wonderful friends.
Oh man...lets see....is that enough for now?

Wow, I think we have to support the people over there. I understand what you are saying. It is maddening. I agree with you about wanting to take the a-holes out. I share that feeling.
