Letting pets, especially dogs, run loose is highly irresponsible.

I'm sure that made it less painful for the poor dog as it died a painful death.

There is no telling when a person, carrying a handgun, might react to a dog's challenge, say with a child, or even a bite on the shoe.

C'mon, we're talking about a 2 pound dog. I can't imagine even the biggest wuss in the world being afraid of a dog that small.
