[history]
A Priest Lake man killed his neighbor's 2-pound miniature Yorkshire terrier by kicking it into the air like a football, police said, and authorities have charged him with animal cruelty.
Jelani Lewis and Jessica McKenzie say they are outraged at the death of their 17-year-old pet, Gizmo. Lewis said he watched helplessly early yesterday as three men assaulted the dog the way football players kick field goals.

The sanctity and respect for life has lost a lot of meaning. BTW, things like this have happened long before. We now have mass media outlets and internet to learn about these things up to the minute.

Did you happen to notice that this little 2 lb. dog was 17 years old? Or did you read the entire story.

Along these lines, and I am serious, if someone did this to one of my pets, and I hunted down the perps and beat them to death with a baseball bat or a tire iron, how many Freepers on a jury would vote to convict me of murder? I really want to know.

Doing OK. House the ticker?

I am no way defending Crawford. What he did was inexcusable.
I have 2 ragdoll cats that are my treasure so I can appreciate the bond between human and animal.
But, they say pigs are very intelligent too, and we slaughter them by the millions.
And of course killing an unborn child during a crime is murder. They even call Peterson's fetus "Connor".
Yet it's perfectly legal for a woman to have an abortion which is "murder" by definition.

Still ticking, at this point. They had me in and out of there. Did the job- out the next day. Very impressive.

I think the deletion (my 2nd ... woohoo!) had to do with the fact that I posted the perps complete address (which was all drawn form the article) and then bluntly called for him being on bottom of an aggressive prison relationship for the next 15 years ... in terms unacceptable to a family site.
I dunno man. I have 2 cats and I'll tell ya, I love them more than just about anything. If someone ever deliberatly hurt them, I would go completely ballistic. I transpose that potential rage on the situation described here ... someone's 2 pound, 17 year old pet, dropped kicked to death by laughing sociopaths ... The thought that there are people that have so little conscience, so little compassion, that are so callous ... my calling for him to end up in prison showed restraint on my part. If this had been my pet, I would have flayed these guys.
I'll avoid the "psycho juveniles kill family pet" threads from now on.

I think this is awful, how could anyone do such a terrible thing. They should be locked up and the key tossed away. If our laws were stricter on animal abuse things like this wouldn't happen. Our world has gone down hill and things like this sicken me. How can anyone hurt a little dog like that. I have a Pomeranian Chihuahua mix and she is the sweetest little thing.

I carry, and I would have shot the kicker, and held the other two until the cops arrived. Then we'd all miss ya sink...because as far as I know, they don't give you internet access as an inmate.
cheers

I'd take my chances in front of a Texas jury.

Because I believe that people who are truly revolted by acts of cruelty to animals, and who are firmly in support of strong prosecution of such acts---but who are nonetheless pro choice---are ideal candidates to be convinced of the wrongness of their latter position: due to their evident respect for life, and their evident compassion for those who cannot defend themselves.

This sort of cruelty stuns me. It is a good thing this did not happen to my family's dog (a Shih Tzu). If it had, I would probably be in jail right now for opening fire on those sub-human pieces of filth.
Mega-Dittoes. Yeah, I'm more of a cat person myself, but if I had my way, that perp would be staring down the business end of an M-1 Garand or an M-14 rifle, upon conviction of course. B-P That Crawford looks like he doesn't have a soul at all or a "bad, demonic soul." I know there are other's who prey upon kids, old people, and so on, well, personally I feel the same way about them too and for the record, I'm pro-life.

It would depend on how long it took you to hunt him down. If it was longer than seeming impulsive, I would vote to convict. However heinous this moster's act was, human life is worth more than a dog's life.

Abortion and animal cruelty aren't related, so you sound like a nutter.
You are on a conservative web site. When was the last time you saw a real pro-vs-anti abortion debate here? You are sniping at your own team, and it's weird and unhelpful.
Used to have a hysterical poster named Tabitha Soren (How can anyone care about dogs when babies are being murdered????!!!!!!!) She did that on every animal thread. Used a lot of exclamation points and turned her whole point into something of a joke. You have a good cause. You don't have to berate other good causes to have an effect.

I've have whipped out my Glock 32 and instinctively killed those guys, and claimed they were coming after me after they did that to the dog.
I would not even really have any thought process to it, it would be a reaction, like pulling your hand away from fire.
