HAMBURG, Germany (AP) - The only person convicted in the Sept. 11 attacks was freed by a court Wednesday, pending the outcome of his retrial on charges of aiding the Hamburg al-Qaida cell that included three of the suicide pilots.

Germany drops terrorism charges against El Motassadeq (My Title) It is also important to note that the overturning of the conviction and his release from custody is based SOLEY on alleged statements made by the co-conspirators of 9/11 - statements that, due to thier highly suspicious nature, are not admissable in a US Court!
