IowaPresidentialWatch.com / Sen. Ted (Chappaquiddick) Kennedy continued to be the rabid dog for the John Kerry Presidential campaign. Kennedy failed to link President Bush to Joe McCarthy but did link the President to Richard Nixon.
"As a result, this president has now created the largest credibility gap since Richard Nixon," Kennedy said in a speech at the Brookings Institution. "He has broken the basic bond of trust with the American people."
Kennedy basically said every statement President Bush has ever uttered is a lie. Kennedy has been out of control for months in much the same way John Dean in his new book (Worse than Watergate: The Secret Presidency of George W. Bush. ) is out of control. Evidence of this is Kennedys statement, [Bush] is the problem, not the solution. Iraq is George Bush's Vietnam, and this country needs a new president."

That bloated, malodorous buffoon! I can't imagine anybody, even a Dim-o-crat, listening to a word he says.

"GRRREat cartoons from you! Can you tell us more about how you actually create these gems? What software, how long does one take, do you "do" other art work too? Yada Yada... "Sure, I use PhotoShop 5.0 and a simple, basic "goo" program called KaiGoo (it came with the software for an old printer years ago...)
I used to paint portraits and other paintings, so I use PhotoShop to "paint" with the mouse. There are tons of tools in PhotoShop that replicate real painting -- color swatches, brushes, % of whatever color I use, size of brush, soft edge or hard edge, eraser tools (again, with % control I can get what I want)
Once I get a face basically done, I open the file in the Kai Goo program and smear it around to where I want it. Then I take it back into Photoshop. I have to use Kai Goo for some of the caricaturing because the "smear" tools in Photoshop blend the pixels together, Kai doesn't do that. It just moves them around.
Anyway, it's tedious just like real painting. I use many, many layers for each cartoon (separate ones for eyes, hair, hands, etc.). Once I'm satisfied with it I "flatten" the file and save it as a JPEG so I can post it on my website (www.iowapresidentialwatch.com). I'm the webmaster for it AND the cartoonist
The cartoon today took me 8 hours to do. Some take more, some less.
Do I do other artwork? Yeah, I do some cartoons that aren't put on my website (it's run by a federal PAC, so I have to clear some hurdles before I post them... it's a conservative website so I don't go too extreme. I do other ones just for myself that are a bit more over the edge.)
I also do commission artwork and am contacted to do specific graphics and such.

"how about a "beauty" cartoon of our first Lady President? " I really want to do one of Laura Bush, but I haven't gotten one done yet that does her justice... I'm workin' on it, though! She tops my "Women I most admire" list.
