Better to give them the seat than have Specter in it as Judiciary chairman. Nothing to lose here.

Specter's in big trouble, with Bush having to campaign for him. I hope the PN votes see through it.

Well, considering that Specter supported Toomey in 1998, one could argue that Toomey is an ingrate. And one would be promptly laughed out of the room. What does that have to do with anything?

I'm giddy and I don't even live there.

As soon as he wins and is a lame duck, he will never have to cast a single conservative vote or owe anyone anything again. He might even switch parties, who knows?
To: republicanwizard
That Specter is getting old should have nothing to do with how you vote.It should if he starts talking about President Reagan's No Child Left Behind bill, like he did in the debate.
To: Torie
appears in his youth to have caught the protectionist bug. Why would anyone vote for Toomey if he's a protectionist?

Now what are we? A bunch of cranky retirees, corrupt urbanites, and unsophisticated rednecks. Speak for yourself.
To: BillyBoy
It pleases me greatly to see that I am not the only one that can smell a rat from his sophistry on this thread! Go Toomey!

If it's better for Specter, post election, don't count on him to stay an (R)!
