This just in from a student inside of Iran...

"Doc I have just got a report from a German based Persian Language website http://www.iran-emrooz.de discussing the role of the terrorist Mullahs of Iran in the recent Iraq unrests. The original article was also published in Al-Hayyat Arabic paper.

I am going to translate some of it here for the readers of your thread;

The Mullahs were fast to recognize interim governing council of Iraq but that doesn't mean they wanted to help Iraqis and the coalition forces.

Their favorite in Iraq is to see the quick defeat of the USA and stop rebuilding a country.

There is nothing more dangerous than victory of the US to the Mad Mullahs of Tehran and that is why they try their best to increase the casualties of the coalition forces in Iraq.

And the latest blocking of the border crossing points and decrease the number of the points from 19 to 3 shows that the US officials and Iraqi security services know better than all of us about the role of Iran in Iraq.

This website adds, American founds evidences about the role of the Iranian Charge D' Affair in Iraqi Capital.

This man, named Hossein Kazemi, is not just a diplomat. He is a former IRGC Intel officer who has personal connections with Lebanese Hizbollah and Palestinian Hamas.

He is the mediator of Hamas and Hizbollah with Moqtada Sadr.

The paper continues that This Iranian former officer will be expelled from Iraq as soon as possible.

Charge D' affair of the Iranian Embassy in Baghdad is also responsible for the attacks on US forces in Falujah in the past days.

He organizes a mission named "Sword" to prepare safe houses and weapons for foreign and internal terrorists inside Iraq.

Iran has already given $ 49 milion to Sadr and his deputies to increase their power in more than 800 mosques and some poor shiite regions.

The evidences of the aboved events are in hands of Kurdish forces and they handed these documents to American authorities in Baghdad.

Iran hasn't yet said about the arrest of its Charge D'Affair in Baghdad.

We have to wait for more bloodshed in Iraq in the days ahead."

In a story about the Ashoura bombings:

"US officials said 15 people were detained in Karbala in connection with the attacks, though none was charged. Among those detained were five Farsi speakers, a suggestion that they were Iranians. About 100,000 Iranians were believed to have come to Iraq for the Ashura religious rituals, and Iran's news agency said 23 Iranians were among the dead."

"In the meetings held with Iraq's security and police officials in Karbala so far, they have denied (claims) about the complicity of several suspects related to the Islamic Republic in these explosions," Hassan Kazemi Qomi told the Islamic Republic News Agency.

Countries in the Middle East are threatened by a free and democratic Iraq. God forbid that ordinary people wake up and start living ordinary, happy lives...free of the despotism of mad mullahs and hatemongering, homicidal Imams. If these tyrants lose power, they lose money, they've lost everything. No wonder they're screaming and yelling hate-filled invective against the US.

I've thought this from the beginning. And having old el-Sadist hole himself up in the mosque with his 'followers' using innocent civilians as human shields only reinforces the notion that Iran is behind the Shiite 'uprising'. I'm really getting annoyed at the newspeople calling these people 'insurgents'. They are terrorists, and I'd bet you that more than half of the folks in the crowd outside the mosque are not from Iraq.

Think voters are ready for starting another war with another country in the Middle East? Iran would view that as an invitation to really get involved with us in Iraq. It would be drip drip deaths every day. A constant migraine for Bush throughout the year.

Do you even recall the reaction to bombing the Iraqi nuclear facility at Osirak? We'd be called hypocritical and righty so.

The UN Security Council unanimously and in the strongest terms condemned Israel. U.S. ambassador to the UN Jeane Kirkpatrick described the attack as "shocking" and compared it to the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan.

We'd have to go through a decade of UN resolutions before acting and then we'd still have no international support.

I don't know about this weekend.....we kind of have a lot on our plate at the moment right there between Iraq and Afghanistan. Maybe if we can tie up this situation on the Pakistani border, we'll be able to concentrate more on Iran.

"Iran has already given $ 49 milion to Sadr and his deputies "

$49 million and Iran got nothing.

Sounds to me like Sadr might be running from Iran more than from us. Maybe to someplace closer to his Swiss bank accounts LOL!

The Mullah's want an United Islamic Republic (ya..I took it from a Clancy novel). They have a heavy interest in the success or failure of our mission in Iraq.

They would like nothing more than for the Shia in Iraq to invite them into an alliance after they had driven us from Iraq....We cannot let that happen.

Very interesting, and very consistent with the same kind of stories about Iran's involvement (through al-Qa'ida) in the bombings in Karbala, et al., during the Shi'ite high holy days, a month or so ago, that killed 190 people.

Those stories made sense then, just as they make sense today.
