Freepers were probably his biggest audience last week, albeit, 'know thy enemy' motivated. I hope Franken can stay on long enough to put a dent in Soros' pocketbook.

There
was another attempt at a liberal radio network. It featured Hightower and other Vox Liberali.

Only conservatives are listening. I listen after Glenn Beck and then again after Hannity. Good mix I think.
I am astounded at the hate that is spewing from the gentle libs everyday.

KBLA, which broadcast Spanish-language programming before switching to Air America, was ranked 38th 1580 on your radio dial, it used to broadcast business news before it was bought by Koreans to broadcast in Spanish. Most people don't even know their radio dial goes that high.
Watching this train wreck will be high comedy.

If the Franken show is opposite Rush or Souch, it'll likely go nowhere.

Soros will be unhappy when he learns that the only listeners he picked up are members of DU.

What do these liberaloonies need another radio network for? They already have NPR - PRI - BBC - and all paid for by our tax dollars (and lots of corporate money). I guess these leftist media are not left enough.

Byron York is the best. He and his wife showed up at the rally to get Gore out of Cheney's House in November 2000.
Bumped for a later read.

As the old saying goes:
A fool and his money are soon parted. Given the
ad hominem attacks on Bush with this new talk show network, people are going to start tuning out Air America Radio in no time flat.
You really have to wonder even if liberal George Soros is willing to put more money down this sinkhole.

There is still TAX-PAYER FUNDED NPR!

Big liberal media may be losing their influence.
Liberal Talk Radio is boring. So boring that even the DUers were complaining about it last week. All the media hype was fine, but the product needs a new formula.
The liberal media also hyped Richard Clarke. Now, Clarke's own words have made him out to be an opportunist who has no problem shading the truth. Clarke's book sold just over 100,000. For all the hype and interviews, etc., Viacom might just break even, at most, but reports are that Clarke got around $1million advance. Clarke may need to be out on the street corners hawking his book just to make up for the advance.
The liberal media hyped Jason Blair for 2 weeks. Jason appeared on all the 'soft interview' outlets. CSPAN even showed an hour of Jason at a book signing. At least report, Blair's book was around 1,500. Yeh, someone at Simon and Schuster should lose their job for purchasing the rights to that book. It won't even come close to breaking even.
All the liberal media hype of John Kerry isn't helping the presumptive much. His numbers are slowing declining as more truths emerge--not from the liberal media, but from the internet, emails, and a few moderate media like FoxNews.
All in all, it hasn't been a good couple of years for the liberals or their complicit media friends. People are on to them, even as they spin and spew. People just don't take the liberal media as seriously as they take themselves. They made Bill Clinton, a 3rd rate candidate from a small state, into President. They are trying to do that with the only one available--John Kerry. That's going to be a hard sell.

"It's a modest startup, and it was treated like some kind of revolution."Are they kidding? It was treated like the Second Coming of the Messiah!! Particularly by the NYTimes and the Boston Globe.
I especially like the fact that they are alienating their base by displacing black and hispanic listeners. Just shows how they take them for granted.
To: TomGuy
Great post. But knowing the libs, they'll find a way to cheat their way into good ratings. Of course, I also like the earlier post about wasting as much of Soros' money first before they go belly up!
