Who is Peter Jennings???
I remember reading about a high school kid from Canada that auditioned to read off a TelePrompTer and had "nice" hair. He read rather well, at least a 6th grade level, for the American public consumption. The problem was that he began to believe that he understood what he was reading.
I believe that others have referred to it as "believing your own bull-sh#t." I think it happens to Hollywood actors when they think if they "play" a smart person then they actually "are" smart. In their small minds they equate being "millionaires" to having high IQ's.
So all you have to do is wear some small framed dark glasses, speak with either faux-British or Northeastern American accent, quote Marx (Karl not Groucho), hang out with Ivy League "brains" like the Kennedy's (hahahahahahaa) and pass yourself as smart.
Someone should post the name of Hollywood liberal actors and education resume... it would make you laugh.

In 50 years we'll check and see who has the higher popularity rating - Peter or Jesus.
In fact, we can check that out now and get the same results!

This is just like Brokaw writing the book about the glorious wwII generation after years of defecating on them..Jennings now focused on Jesus..Geez...Libs must think we are such sheep.
To: Registered
Now you've done it. Brokaw, Rather and Couric are growing beards.

http://www.equip.org/free/DJ920.pdf I've posted this in several places, yes, Jennings did do a "Jesus" special which was a total liberal mess presented as fact. He throws out all the conservative theologians and only has liberals with very strange ideas of who Jesus was, in order to redefine Jesus in the American mind.
Another enlightened liberal going to educate the masses on their silly traditions.
This is a point-by-point rebuttal of that special, by the excellent apologists at Christian Research Institute. Absolutely fantastic.
To: Wolfgang_Blitzkrieg
I have it on. It's a replay of his last Christianity special. Or worse. There's been Rap music, hard rock, etc. I going through the living room on my way to fix a cup of tea and turn it off. It's sickening. Now we have sitar music.

So did anyone see the special? please inform us...the tubeless ones.

I just caught the last few minutes (before it just went to commercial). This is a joke. They were just talking about Paul's travels in Greece around 50 AD and how Paul might have won converts to his message and basically, they just portray him as some crafty con artist. They gloss right over how absurd this message of Paul's would have been to people in Greek cities during that day. They also explain Paul's conversion more along the hallucination lines then something that might very well have happened. I'm going to keep watching though because this is pitifully funny so far.

I briefly came across the show while channel surfing. The odious Bishop Spong was babbling on about something or other. I couldn't switch channels fast enough.

It doesn't surprise me. I figured it would be liberal revisionist trash.
If Hollywood thinks they can come out with a bunch of Hollywood schlock posing as biblical movies, they are very much mistaken. They may try to grab some of the money they see Mel Gibson making, but they won't succeed unless they undergo a real change of heart--or else go out and hire a few real Christians who know what they are doing.
