Didn’t see AP on the list. I wanted to post the following:

but at the bottom of the Article is said Associated Press. I thought they were on the “list”.
Thank you and sorry to bother you.

i posted an article an hour or so ago on shortages of some cancer drugs that I found from a local newspaper/website. I didn’t post a link or excerpt the article because it was from a website that had restrictions. I originally tried to followed directions on this thread but couldn’t post it even then. I finally did a vanity that mentioned the article in general terms but now I can’t find it at all now. Was it deleted? If so, can you let me know why so that i’ll know what not to do?
Well, there is a solution to this growing problem.
Create FreRepublic University. Run it like the old City College of New York - no tuition, open classes. Make sure that the students sign up for classes. Our classes will consist of online discussions of social and political issues of interest to students. We are graded on participation, pass / fail. Therefore, the rules on copyright change - we can print excerpts from anything as long as it has an “educational purpose.”
Sort of like the “redeeming social importance” rule embraced in the 1960s concerning certain other printed material.
I’ll be the first student to sign up. Our classroom discussions, moderated by Prof. Jim Robinson, will illuminate our understanding of American culture.
Apparently, there are sources not listed that the forum software still requires excerpts from.
One that is not listed on the “official list”, but the forum forces excerpting: OneNewsNow.com (part of the American Family Association). While they sometimes have AP-sourced articles, FR seems to want to require ALL to be excerpted.
arstechnica.com is blocked but not listed!

FAIR USE NOTICE
I have perused all 704 post under FRs tag CopyrightList but could not answer my question:
Can I use the below listed Fair Use Notice attached to copyrighted articles sent via e-mail to my friends, non FR post, without copyright infringement?
[FAIR USE NOTICE: The above may be copyrighted material and the use of it may not have been specifically authorized by the copyright owner. Such material is made available only on a nonprofit basis for educational and discussion purposes. Highlights added.]
1. I want to avoid copyright infringement.
2. I want to send Full-Copy Articles to friends ONLY.
3. I do not want to redact or limit just to a link only.
4. I want to highlight, but not excerpt portions of the full copyrighted article.
5. Can I avoid copyright infringement by using the above listed Fair Use Notice?

The sister site Free Dominion in Canada is also undergoing lawfare attacks. They recently won a copyright decision. They have been sued or taken to “human rights tribunals” for six years with no end in sight, if they survive.
Please note that short articles from any of the sources on the list (that are not prohibited altogether) must be excerpted to 50% of content. This has always been the rule for excerpts.
Excerpts for long articles is 300 words or less.

At post time FR refused this site, that nothing from newswithviews would be posted. But no search on FR brought up any thing about it, and in this "helps" article you have not listed this Source.
Is there a reason that I might know, and be better warned? Thanks!
I did find the article on the author's own blog site, and did excerpt and posted from there. I hope have not done something wrong. I thought the content was of high value to FR readers, although the article was witten over 10 years ago. The link is:

Jim,
What about WSJ blogs such as this one?
Do they have to excerpted too?

Do we know if Democatic Underground and other such liberal forums are facing a restricted list of similar scope?
‘The ad is likely to cause serious offence to some viewers on the basis that it was sexist...’
All the best ads are like that.
I tried to post this blogger’s article
http://www.newswithviews.com/Vieira/edwin255.htm
and received a message about newswithviews.com is blocked. I first checked the copyright list and didn’t see this site mentioned, and a google search of FR shows links to this site, so I thought it was OK.
Is there a different list of blocked sites I should have checked?
Wow.
So...should we be thinking of just posting links on everything?
That would seem to be the safest way to go.
