It's a war on terrorism, but Israel's not invited.

Yasser Arafat and the PA = Mullah Omar and the Taliban. A terrorist regime.

I wonder what the Administration would say if ISREAL came out and said it does NOT want the US to kill Osama Bin Laden or Mullah Omar? Ridiculous.......and NOT at all consistent with the WAR on TERROR!!!

Arafat is also responsible for the murder of Americans too.

Yeah, the White House also has an official strong dollar policy, too.

Sorry, W.H., I disagree. All Arafat does is collect donated monies for the P.A. and transfer the bulk of it to his own accounts. He helps plan attacks, tells English speaking viewers they are trying to defeat violence, and in arabic praises the bombers and incites more death to the Israelis.

Drop a bomb on him.

The biggest single mistake Bush has made was the "Arafat Exception" within the Bush Doctrine.

A terrorist is a terrorist is a terrorist.

When you consider the only "constant" in the Israeli / Palestinian conflict for the past three decades is Arafat.....its very hard to understand why he hasn't received a head wound yet (Arafat, not Bush).

Kill him and start over....

I'm going out on a limb and saying that this is the 'Offical' policy, not the actual policy.

Well, Sharon, sometimes it's better to ask forgiveness than it is to ask permission....

USA does not know how to deal with terrorists. Just look at what the USA is doing in Iraq. I suggest that we leave Israel alone when she tries to take care of her terrorists, for she knows better than we what must be done for survival.
The USA is not even realistic. Force must be met with superior force, and appeasement will not work. It has been tried, and it amounts to nothing more than foolishness, and wishful thinking.

You would think Scott McCllelan could have simply said, "no comment."

Of course. I would not want him to interfere in whatever Israel decides is best for them, anymore than I want France to interfere in what is appropriate US policy.

"Report: Arafat willing to include Hamas in new Palestinian leadership group"

DUH!

Headline should be:

US to Israel: Fire for effect.

I have REALLY grown tired of the simplistic analysis of the Bush administration's rhetoric/actions relative to Israel.

Let's focus on a few FACTS:

FACT ONE: President Bush is THE most pro-Israel president EVER -- a FACT verified by both Sharon and Netanyahu (sp)!
[Despite unrelenting pressure from Tony Blair (and other Europeans) to state otherwise, the President continues to maintain that Israel has every right to defend herself.]

FACT TWO: US actions in Afghanistan and Iraq (as well as covert actions in Iran, Libya, Syria and other ME countries) have benefitted Israel more than any other country, including our own!!!

FACT THREE: The United States has vetoed EVERY United Nations attempt to sanction Israel for its various anti-terrorism activities, including the recent killing of Yassin!

FACT FOUR: President Bush has steadfastly refused to meet and/or negotiate with Arafat (unlike Clinton who practically made Washington DC Arafat's second home)!

It should be obvious to all but the most obtuse that President Bush and Sharon have a common 'understanding' and a shared 'plan' when it comes to battling terrorism -- they will continue to pursue this plan until the terrorists are defeated!

I just called and spoke to an operator. I vented out all the stuff in a clear, logical argument.

The USA does not know how to deal with terrorism at all, and are woefully ignorant and should not interfere with Israels right to defend her people. USA leaders want to sanitize terrorism, and it just can not be done! The USA would give a terrorist a kiss on the cheek, shake his hand, and declare him to be healed. The only kiss that Arafat needs is a "Yassinized" kiss.
