Well .. what bothers me more is the fact that the members of the commission will probably not do the reading at all. It will be left to their staff members TO INTERPRET what was said. THIS IS NOT GOOD.

Part of the problem - as I see it - is the repubs keep thinking this current batch of dem leaders are nice guys - and have refused to realize these people have become hateful people - led by Hillary - lusting for power. They think Hillary can get it for them and that's why they're following her.

I contend - this election will dispel that myth FOREVER!!

Tom Kean is a Republican.
His father was a Republican Congressman.
His grandfather was a Republican US Senator.
His son is the Republican whip of the New Jersey State Senate.
Some people may want to push him out of the Republican party because they do not approve of some of his views. But their leader, George W Bush, does not share that opinion. He appointed Tom Kean because he is a reliable Republican, but with a reputation for honesty. If Kean wanted a cabinet job in Washington he could have that too, but like Karen Hughes he insists on living in his home state.

If that is the case, this is more a farce than less.

If these folks want the job 'done'; then they should do it. These people have no qualms about interrupting WH business to make the President and his Cabinet 'take the time' to deal with this. If something happens down the line,we will hear: 'what was the President doing ' for G-ds sake?

Well, he was just tying to keep the Dems campaign agenda up front and personal, that's all.

I mentioned the staff, because one of the members of the commission happened to mention the fact that it would staff who would be reading the thousands of pages.

I think the staff will be too young and too inexperienced to really understand what they're reading, and therefore will make some incorrect judgements.

I think that's especially true for the hate-Bush members of the commission. They already have an agenda and will be looking for any minute item they can use to misinterpret the truth.

"They already have an agenda and will be looking for any minute item they can use to misinterpret the truth."

I do not doubt that is the case; having staff read this stuff; I mean; for the most part, our elected Senators/Congressmen do not even read the bills they sign.

Astounding when you think of it. . .a jury; each individual is responsible to know the testimony of the case they are judging. If they do not do their task mindfully; the verdict can be challenged.

And here we have a panel making historic, life-altering judgments, without personally having to make the painstaking inquiry that even a jury is expected to do.

The more I think of this; the more outrageous it becomes!

I agree with you......those long 8 yrs under Clinton who had the backbone of a coward and the integrity of the MOB.....

who let the bombings of the Trade Center and the Cole and the embassies and all the other stuff just go by without so much as a wince.....

sure could bomb those Aspirin factories, though.....

IF America appears weak, and acts weak, then we are percieved as weak....

The 911 "commission" is all about the Democrats using the opportunity with the aid of their friends in the phony liberal news to "put the police on trial". It's what the left always does, because they hate America, hate those who would protect Americans. When criminals (or terrorists) commit their crimes, and it comes before judgement, including useless "commissions", they always turn it on it's head, and put the police on trial, distract those who are trying to do the job of protecting us, and the leftist end that justifies the means is that they intimidate anyone in the future from daring to try and protect us - be it the police or our government. For them, the Democrats and the Left wing media, this isn't about "better protecting Americans", in fact it's exactly the opposite. They put the police on trial, they want to weaken our moral resolve. Period.

You got it! I'm outraged that these men are turning over this report to their staff - to summarize or whatever.

The only light I have seen is that Roemer said on Charlie Rose, very glibly, that Clinton really dropped the ball, especially with the attacks on the 2 embassies, and the Cole. I was stunned! I was not happy with Roemer's questions and I felt he was very biased and had an attitude with all the repubs.

That is amazing. . .beyond the Liberal 'truth is a rorschach test' analysis.

File the date of that interview. . .

" It's been a kangaroo court since the very beginning."

This much is obvious -- The RATS have made it no secret the GOP would eventually "pay" for impeaching Clinton, and they'll never let up no matter how illigitimate or frivolous the trumped-up charge....

"Yet Clinton can play at being President(mostly for the perks involved) for 8 years and get a pass for treasonous activities. There is no justice in the world...good is bad and bad is 'good'".

And this is how stupid and naive the GOP is; They could have investigated AND impeached Clinton for at least a half-dozen acts of malfeasance and treason, yet were too chicken-sh*t to do anything about it.

Meanwhile Dubya cleans up Bubba's mess and takes the hit.

The GOP ought to wise up and finally spill open the book on Clinton's 8 years of monkey-business and give IT a thorough proctological examination -- BOTH Clintons and the ENTIRE book.

It'll never happen and this is why; F.B.I. files (how did they get away with THAT I want to know!)and the consummate talent the Clintons have for lying along with the astonishing naivete of the American people for believing them. Believe me, the Clintons have not wasted the intervening years idle. Being lawyers, I'm certain they have ready answers for every charge leveled against them.

I wish the GOP would have gone after them with a vengeance for what they(Clintons) did to our country. However I don't think it was as a result of stupidity or naivety but their understanding of reality. They would have been painted by a willing press as vigilantes seeking political revenge.

And, again, most of the American people would have bought it. See what they(press/media) are doing with our involvement in Iraq. Slowly, relentlessly they are turning the opinions of people against it.

I'm still amazed by what he said, and Lehman didn't say anything to his comments.

Kean says that there are some surprises (at least for him), but I doubt those of us here on FR will be surprised .. I think it will confirm what we already knew or suspected.

Did you hear that Bob Kerrey is already asking for the report to be delayed until AFTER THE ELECTION - that can only mean one thing in my book - this report is not looking good for the Clinton goons. And .. remember, most of those goons are Clinton's former WH people, and they're all consulting now with Kerry.

OMG! Did not hear that. Incredible . . .briar patch theory aside!

The Dems pushed for this; wanted this on Bush's plate for campaign issue and election cycle. . .so do not see how; save by continuing to ask for more 'thousands of pages' while they scream Bush is 'stonewalling'. . .that they can stall this. . .now the Dem/'by-partisans' could drag their feet. . .I don't know. . .but surely this would not work.

With doubts cast aside about Kerry's request; this appears to be some 'good news'! And so very interesting. . .
