April 3, 2004 -- Kerry: Good jobs news is bad political news.

IT may not be time for the Bush campaign to break out the champagne, but it sure is the right moment for the Kerry campaign to stock up on the Maalox.

Wonder what the UNIONS will do to affect these numbers?

The only way the Unions can effect these numbers if all or most of them go on strike .. which will look obvious and I don't think the Members will like being unemployed so the Leaders can play political games with their paycheck

either way .. it will back fire

By the time Kerry's Senate record has been revealed, the ads campaign will concentrate in all what our great President has done.

This bunch will attempt anything for a short term gain, and if it appears to them, messing with the economy a few months prior to an election, all the better.

These liberals have been very quiet about a need for raising the minimum wage of late and I expect that demand to be one of many coming ahead over the spring and summer/fall.

The disgusting desecrations this week of the bodies of four Americans killed in Fallujah seems only to have stiffened the resolve of the American people to stay the course and get tougher.

Many Democrats are still living in the Vietnam Era. They think that events like the Fallujah atrocities will have the same effect on Americans that say, the Tet Offensive had. Indeed, many of these Democrats are longing to see the American people take to the streets to protest the war like they did in the 1960s. But this war isn't like the Vietnam War. The Vietnamese did not bomb Pearl Harbor nor did they fly hijacked airplanes into our buildings. The Democrats just don't get it. We WANT to see this war against terrorism succeed.

They also think that Americans are like Europeans, a quivering mass of sissies who will cut and run as soon as the body bags start arriving. They just don't get it.

GWB needs to connect the job growth with strong leadership on the WOT. Without powerful national security all our jobs are at risk.

People like you scare the hell out of the rats.

And that thought puts a smile on my face...

Yes, I think the luster of Kerry's campaign has peaked....and too soon as Howard Dean would say. :)
Once the issues are on the table the choice will be a slam dunk!

Good words Sam! We WANT this war to succeed because the stakes are so very high. The Euro-weenies [and the American liberals] don't seem to appreciate that the wolf is breathing heavy at our door.

I heard a fella on talk radio say that the very liberals, who are so sympathetic of the Muslims, [and critical of Christians],
will be the first to be executed should the Muslims ever become our conquerors.

Why don't they see this? What is wrong with these liberals?
I sure can't figure them out!!!
Is diversity a cherished value among the Muslim cultures anywhere?
Duh!!!!

Common micro economics at its best. I to have noticed increase in trucking activity (despite fuel price) and the lines at fast food outlets.

Once again, Democrats have positioned themselves so that good news for America is bad news for them.

4/3/04 Washington Times

Bush campaign spokesman Scott Stanzel said last month's job growth number is the result of "policies of this administration."

While the economy has lost 2.6 million jobs since 2000, 75 percent of the losses were in 2001, said a Bush campaign official, and 40 percent were a result of the economic downturn after the September 11 attacks.

They have positioned themselves opposed to every issue taken by the President.

Therefore their only hope is for a disaster, foreign or domestic.

Thankfully Edwards is not the candidate as his message was more positive, a 'We can do it better' type of message rather than a 'this idiot is screwing everything up' message that Kerry is using.

It's really a shame when one party wishes ill for the Country.
Even in our distain for Pres. Clinton we never wished that.

The Dim's hatred for Pres. Bush is so strong as to cause them to be illogical.

Strangely enough people DON'T know about it.

It's going to cost the national treasure to finance it, might as well get credit for it.

True, and on the other side, if the liberals ever came into power and were able to establish a police run socialist state, they would kill every last muslim to keep that power. It would seem that the only people we can allow to win both battles are the Christians, Buddists, and Jews.

To this point the Kerry solution has been anger at any and all things George Bush. I expect this will continue. Coming soon:

Angry criticism because of the recent murders in Iraq
Continued angry criticism because of the economy
Angry criticism and even more pretend scandals
Another new made-up front that we don't know about - sure to entail lots of angry criticism

"You can't tell people the economy is going south, when everywhere they go to buy stuff they have to wait in line."

Yes, I've been saying this same thing throught this entire recession, if that's what it's been. Here in NJ (NY Metro area) the malls and stores have been busy throughout the entire time. Every time we go to the mall I ask "Where's that slumping economy, where are all those new poor people?" as we drive around for 10-15 minutes looking for a parking space.

And I will say, at my own company, that 1st qtr '04 is the first time we've been up over the previous year since '02, which for a variety of reasons I have to take as the baseline. Of course, it could be a fluke, but I hope not.

I hope the Dems don't get anywhere with their lying, crooked message of doom and gloom. I can only wonder if they'll have Boy Scouts at their convention, and boo them again, those bums.

Because they do not want to see it
That would be admitting that they have spend their whole lives
being stupid morons
would take them guts and they never had any

If the dems were smart they would be focused on not losing more seats in the Senate. Losing the ability to block debate would kill them for decades.

Ha ha ha.....
