You're right. The rats will report the higher unemployment rate, not the higher jobs report. Anyone monitoring ABCNBCCBSCNN who can give a report?

Turn about is fair play. I understand the markets are reacting very favorably! Excellent news for President Bush.

John Effin Kerry's claim of 10 million new jobs in "his" adminstration look either laughable or like a scheme to hold the American Economy back.Kerry is calling for 208,000 jobs per month.
To: RWR8189
Actually, it is 643,000 news jobs since Jan 1. 2004.

I did all of my hiring from April to December last year, now I'm on hold. Maybe this is a sign that I will get the green light again?

From the same CBS Marketwatch story:
"Over the past eight months, payrolls have grown by 759,000, about 95,000 a month."
This ain't spectacular, but it's STEADY PREDICTABLE GROWTH. This kind of thing that causes businessmen to further invest and further hire.

Here's the spin:
Companies Add Jobs, but Unemployment Up
By LEIGH STROPE, AP Labor Writer
WASHINGTON - The nation's unemployment rate bumped up to 5.7 percent in March while companies added 308,000 new jobs the most in four years, providing long-awaited evidence that the weak jobs market may be gaining steam.
The Labor Department (news - web sites) report released Friday showed widespread hiring in industries across the economy at a time when President Bush (news - web sites)'s re-election campaign, counting heavily on a pickup in hiring, jumped into high gear.
For the first time in 44 months, the nation's factories did not shed jobs. But they weren't hiring either. March's figures show zero gains and losses for industries hammered by the economic downturn that began three years ago. The only sector losing jobs last month was information services, where companies cut about 1,000 jobs.
Revisions to payrolls showed a stronger jobs market than previously thought. Companies added 205,000 jobs in January and February, instead of the 118,000 reported last month.
The civilian unemployment rate, however, ticked up 0.1 percentage point from 5.6 percent in February. That occurred because more job seekers renewed their searches last month, but were unsuccessful.

This is the fastest job growth in 4 years...no way to spin this. Great news for America...bad news for the dems.

5.7 is higher than 5.6. The Rats will dance over this and ignore the rest. And guess what will be reported? Dan Blather: "The nation's unemployment rate skyrocketed up a full tenth of a percentage point, casting doubts on the Bush administration's economic plan. White House staffers are scrambling for answers as a stunned administration tries to put a positive face on this woeful economic development."

This is great news! If we're supporting President Bush, we need to get the message out that Republicans have the jobs and are willing to expand the economy by hiring, but that if Kerry is elected, the economy will shrink and jobs will be lost (except government jobs, of course).
AND we need to get the info out about the unemployment figures in relation to those employed (by households). There are a LOT more people employed than show up in the current paradigm.
