Well hello. It's been a while since I was last doomed. Sorry. I've been hiding in my closet cowering in fear for the past few months after reading one too many Willie Green posts. I finally worked up the nerve to come back out, only to see this disastrously doomy news today. :-(

This is excellent news and should shut up that annoying democrat trader on Cavuto's weekend show. I believe that would be Greg Hymowitz. He'll certainly be worth watching tomorrow. He was active on one of the RAT primary campaigns. Gephardt, I believe.

Ummmm... Gas prices are too high? And uhh.... what about inflation? Isn't all this growth inflationary?

Ah yes, that would be very, very good.

Really surprising how a good monthly number has everyone blowing the horn for this statistic. When the numbers were bad - the statitic was innacurate, now it's the holy grail.
When will we see what the household survey did - the series that has been used recently to discredit the manufactures index. Switching horses when the lead changes in the home stretch is not confined to any one political party or candidate. This is the index that has been used the longest & has a better history - let's not be making changes on political grounds.

CHANGING HORSES MIGHT PUT IT BACK IN THE TOILET FOLKS. KERRY AND THE LEFT will easily re-install the dangerous economic conditions that Clinton installed in his 8 years of trying to turn America into a Socialist Republic.

My question is how many are truely unemployed? Employment and unemployment always go up and down. Students aren't counted and the unemployed who are going back to school because they can't find anything are not counted. Likewise, the lower end worker that has given up and gone on welfare pretty much permanently isn't counted. But these have always been with us and really aren't (IMO) a wotrhwhile indicator of the health of the economy and employment.
I would be much more interested in seeing the number of individual tax returns filed and the average reported income compared to previous years (perhaps broken down by employment category), but I never seem to find these reported. This would give a truer picture of how healthy the employment market and economy really is (or isn't). Total tax revenues, both Federal and State, would also be a good indicator IMO, broken down by State, region, and overall collections. It's quite possible for one area of the country to be booming and another in a near depression. I wonder where one would find these statistics?

Oh him...I love Kudlow though. I heard him when the number came out this morning.

FWIW, a .1 change is beyond the reliablity of the factor to consider it significant. With adjustments made to previous periods, and the variable of stat sampling, rounding conventions, its nonsense to say that there is a change in the rate.

I woke up this morning to a basement full of water, a burned out sump pump and my grandkids pool toys floating up the stairs but when I heard this I started LMAO. Oh dear... sorry to hear it. Good luck with that.
Well, at least there's some good news for you today with these job numbers! :-)

Yes, that's him. He's been "jobless recovery" yammering for the past 6 months. Plus he has the attractive Rat personna of a smart aleck, arrogant, semi-gangster weasel.
I hope tomorrow the other panelists say "Neener, neener" to him for the whole hour.
On the other hand, I think there's a fair chance he will be a no-show tomorrow. HA!

It won't be long till the Dems are complaining about President Bush politicizing the Economic Recovery for his own personal gain.

I don't know what you guys are talking about. There have been 175 trillion jobs lost under the Bush administration. I don't care what the numbers say. BTW - does everyone here know I was in Viet Nam.
