Really surprising how a good monthly number has everyone blowing the horn for this statistic. When the numbers were bad - the statitic was innacurate, now it's the holy grail.
When will we see what the household survey did - the series that has been used recently to discredit the manufactures index. Switching horses when the lead changes in the home stretch is not confined to any one political party or candidate. This is the index that has been used the longest & has a better history - let's not be making changes on political grounds.
