[history]
House Democrats yesterday introduced a bill that calls for a major overhaul of the intelligence community.
"The Central Intelligence Agency was set up in 1947 to aid the Cold War, to fight an enemy that no longer exists, and the CIA director has never been given the authority to do what he or she was intended to do," said Rep. House Democrats yesterday introduced a bill that calls for a major overhaul of the intelligence community. Gee .. like what the Church Committee did??
Or better yet .. add what Torricelli did into the mix
Our country is not safe when Dems get involved with our intelligence and national security

When the Dems had their majority all those years they keelhauled the intelligence community.

They weakened Intell. in the 80's also during the Central America/Gorby time period.
The Kennedy's messed with the Cia also.
That makes the 1960's, 70's, 80's, 90's they weakened it.

Headline: Dems Seek Intelligence Overhaul
Good. They need one. However, I will believe it only when I see the results (estimated waiting time: 3 centuries)

When I saw the headline,
"Democrats Seek Intelligence Overhaul", I got all excited.
I thought they were going to give Kerry a Do-It-Yourself Lobotomy Kit. Oh well, I guess I got my hopes up for nothing. Of course, if he did, could we tell?
