US Promises to Punish Those Responsible for Gruesome Iraq Attacks

The top U.S. official in Iraq says Wednesday's gruesome attacks on four American civilians whose burned bodies were put on display in the town of Fallujah will not go unpunished.

"It's going to be deliberate, it will be precise and it will be overwhelming," U.S. General Mark Kimmitt said, speaking to reporters in Baghdad. He warned insurgents in the town of Fallujah to be prepared for U.S. forces to strike back following Wednesday's killing of four American contractors by a frenzied mob that dragged their charred bodies through the streets.

Televised footage of the act has provoked outrage from Americans in the United States and led U.S. administrator in Baghdad Paul Bremer to issue a warning.

"Their deaths will not go unpunished," he promised.

The White House blamed the attacks on supporters of Saddam Hussein. The remains of the four were to be turned over to the U.S. military.

A day after the attack, three American soldiers were injured in another attack near Fallujah, this time when their Humvee struck a roadside bomb.

Isn't it mind boggling how people "misunderestimate" him? They think he is such a dunce. He has a MBA, which would be a tough task for a dunce. Personally I would rather someone with a business background and/or education be president. Yes, Pres. Bush was a governor prior to becoming president but that does not make his a career politician. I have faith that he is the right person at the right time, considering the times we are in. I have faith in his stratergery :-)

Threatening Demands to Bush Administration Remain on Yahoo Group Site

 

     No one knows much about purported al Qaida operative Daleel Almojahid other than a number of his early Internet articles were posted on Yahoo groups from the computer system of the American University of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates.

 

     However, despite claiming to be an al Qaida member, and consequently a supporter of a U.S. State Dept. designated terrorist organization,  Almojahid's demands to the Bush administration remain on his Yahoo group site.

 

     A Feb. 2004 post (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Daleel_Almojahid_1/message/28?source=1 )
from Almojahid (and the so-called Islamic Jihad Brigade Black Death Squad, 8th Squad, Squad of order 8) contains a demand that the Bush administration immediately stop the "invasion of our Islamic lands in any part of the world east or west." In addition, Almojahid demands (among other things)  the return in gold of all "stolen" Muslim money, the release of all jailed Islamic prisoners in American jails and in conjunction with other nations, the dismantling of the United Nations.

 

     Oil, Almojahid says, will be made available at "a reasonable price for poor and for rich nations."

 

     Back in Feb.2004 Almojahid warned about the advisability of a quick decision on his/al Qaida's demands. He said it was the only way to stop what would happen if the demands were not met.

 

     Calling it "insane" to read the words he wrote and not comply, Almojahid wrote, "We have given you the solution."

 

     Apparently anticipating a negative response, Almojahid wrote in part "history will re-write that your punishment was a combined punishment of all the nations that came before you and walked your same path. And you will then cry like women in your underground caves.

 

     "And it will be fair enough for you to see that for us knowing that you will run away hiding in your underground caves, we will give you a prior few minutes notice before our blessed attack so that you will be able to watch your destruction with your own satellite as we would beby then have passed the sky's of the seventh sky to heaven and your nation to the fires of hell, and what and end for letting you govern them and move them to the direction of hell and what a direction!"

 

     An e-mail to Yahoo asking about the Daleel Almojahid group was not immediately answered.

 

     In another message (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Daleel_Almojahid_1/message/52 ), speaking on behalf of al Qaida (whether or not he is actually associated with the group), Almojahid said al Qaida was responsible for the recent suicide car bombing that killed five people including the bomber in Ritadh, Saudi Arabia.

 

     According to Almojahid , "Al Qaida has decided to send a message to all these worthless allies to America that you will never be safe. And so al Qaida attacked  the security headquarters in Riyadh which is supervised by the Americans themselves for following up with the
operations regarding the mojahideen. Thanks to God almighty the building has been destroyed and put out of function! And this is just a message. Let's see if they will listen."

 

     Almojahid explained. "For the past few weeks the Saudi forces were on the move trying to
find and capture or kill the mojahideen in Saudi Arabia, the mojahideen have issued in an early statement to the Saudi security force to lay of their back and leave them alone. They don't want to target Muslims; they want the Americans only. They told them and made it very clear of you won't lay back and stop aiding blindly the American pigs then you will be targeted and there would be no difference between you and the Americans."

 

     In the same message, Almojahid said the attackers were considerate. "Some considerations the mojahideen took to minimize the numbers of dead in the operation. They have attacked in the hours of lunch break so that very few people would be inside the building. The attack happened inside the parking in an area which would destroy the building but not affect the surrounding buildings so that not to hurt any innocent civilians as much as possible."

 

     While it is not known whether Almojahid actually speaks for even the lowest level of the al Qaida, a Saudi official told media that the attack was trademark al Qaida (www.stuff.co.nz/stuff/0,2106,2882994a12,00.html).

 

     The official, who spoke by phone from Saudi Arabia to American reporters on condition of anonymity said (www.stuff.co.nz/stuff/0,2106,2882994a12,00.html), "Who else sends suicide bombers to blow up cars in the midst of urban centers? Who else has publicly said we are going after the Saudi state? ... Who else has publicly said they are planning to do more of these things? You put it all together and that's the end of it. We have no doubt."

I was wondering if anyone would remember the backup site for FR that I created for site outgages [not yahoo...YIK!]but I see nobody did...LOL. Anyway, here is what I posted at 4AM last night:

DREAM: 4/26/2004 4am Working same job and when outside observed two shadowy high speed aircraft/objects...looked like aircraft heading towards DFW N side E to W slightly in the overcast. Two F18's were observed NB; the first fire 3 very bright missiles which launched and made a hard left turn WB towards target. Explosions heard. Second launched 5 very bright missiles NB which made hard left turn WB and more explosions heard.

News was not available or operational. Started gathering items to immediately leave and when in lot, giant explosion with shaft of smoke in the HEB area near DFW but not at (!)...I think this is significant...I immediately knew what this was and hit the deck covering my eyes with my arms, not hands, which I could tell would not provide sufficient protection against blindness. After the flash, I realized I was "sunburned" and headed to meet ex and kids at school.

Nobody seemed real excited. While at school a second blast near N Dallas (!)...not near target...in neighborhood...I jumped on kids and yelled for everyone to hit the floor and cover their eyes with their arms. Some ignored me and were like zoned out.

We had a few things with us for camping and prep but no weapons...we were about to leave school when a third blast took place much closer in E Dallas area...also no specific target location...just a general area.

We then decided the only way out was S to the Hill Country. For some reason, we were way ahead of everyone else and realized most had been stuck in downtown areas at work and if we stayed off the interstate, we'd make it to the Hill Country w less traffic.

Also I remember others stating they had heard that other US F18 aircraft had launched missiles at aircraft and shot them down througout the country. DFW jets [before the nuke hit] were using Alliance as an alternate landing site since DFW was totally shut down. Then the nuke...and I realized any jets within dozens of miles now had blind pilots or were knocked out of the air by the schock wave...and that ATC was no longer operating.

I was CERTAIN that these were jets which were shot down...there were two flying together side by side just barely in the clouds...but I could still see them and if their pilots were looking down, they could have seen the ground. They were not missiles.

When the nukes exploded, there were no noticeable inbound missile "streaks" etc. They just detonated, and somehow I knew since they took out general areas and were in residential areas and that airports weren't being hit, I knew they had been placed and not fired at us via ICBM. Plus they were ground bursts.

I woke up in a cold sweat. This is one of the most vivid and detailed dreams I've had in years....and I distinctly remember the feeling of dread at not having my weapons with me..they were at home and I had had to go straight away to get the kids.

Perhaps this is telling me I should have a prep pack AND weapons in my truck at all times?? I think I will now...

Take about instamatic population control! Over residential areas and ground bursts! Dreams are our fears and wishes usually but... Time to consider home education seriously. I've had dreams about heading up to the mountains here in PA after something similar.

On the FR yahoo site there was mention of a Homeland Security BOLO... 5 tankers or tracter-trailers from the northwest with arab speaking men that carried a metal box into every truckstop/eatery with them.

Pretty scary dream, Indie. I don't think that D/FW would be that high on the nuke target list with the large Muslim population in the mid-cities area. I do think that no matter where we are hit again, it will affect everyone in one way or another. A large "event" would create panic and everyone will run to the stores. There will be theft and looting. We've seen how people riot and loot after sporting events. This will be on a much grander scale. We all need to be prepared to head home and stay there. That means you need to have lots of supplies already on hand to last for several weeks/months. If shipping/transportation is interrupted it may be months before stores can replenish their shelves. Decide what you can't live without for several weeks and stock up. Imported goods like coffee will be hard to find for a long time. The cost of goods will skyrocket. Start buying a couple bags of dried beans/rice every time you go to the store. The cost of gas will be unaffordable, but you should keep a couple of cans of gasoline stored safely at home to use in an emergency. If computers/electric grid are affected it may be weeks/months before you will have access to your bank. Keep some cash at home in small bills. Buy a bicycle. Get a hand cranked radio (got mine on Ebay). Everyone should have a plan based on his/her own situation. I know that you have prepared, Indie, but I worry about the 99.999% of the rest of the country. Peace be with you. TM Grasshoppers.

Rf400,000 worth of goods stolen from Samuga store (Maldives)

MALE, April 26 (HNS) -- Samuga store on the ground floor of MTCC Building in Male was broken into early Sunday morning, with goods worth Rf400,000 stolen.

Proprietor Mohamed Lutfy said Sunday that in addition to the theft, the burglars had vandalized the store’s computer and cash drawer.

Among valuables stolen from the store, which mainly sells marine equipment, include navigation lights, search lights, radio equipment and pumps.

“The burglars entered by breaking open the lock of the main door,” Lutfy said.

He said that he had received information on Sunday that police had apprehended three youths who were selling marine equipment which he believed belonged to Samuga store.

These equipment will not be available from any other store in Male except from Samuga, Lutfy said.

The youths tried to sell the equipment to crews of boats anchored at Male harbor, according to Lutfy.

“The crew of one of the dhonies who were approached by these youths reported to police,” Lutfy said.

“However, police have not yet confirmed to me whether these youths were the burglars or whether they were selling stolen equipment from my store,” he said.

Seven thousand Mujaheddin ready and armed for battle in Moluccas Islands


Jakarta (AsiaNews) – Fundamentalist leaders in the capital have promised to send 7000 armed men to help their Muslim brothers, who they claim are “threatened by Christians” in the Moluccas Islands.

IMI (Ikhwanul Muslimin Indonesia) president, Habib Husein Al Habsyi, told AsiaNews: “We will send 7000 Mujaheddin men to Ambon to protect our innocent Muslim brothers, seeing as security forces aren’t doing anything to prevent acts of violence.”

Meanwhile the death toll is on the rise. Rivai Ambon, director of Al Fattah Hospital, said that since Sunday, 15 dead men have been brought to his hospital alone; 6 others died today and 60 more are being treated for clash-related wounds.

For now, the Christian-Muslim clashes which broke out yesterday morning in Ambon have officially caused 22 deaths and have led to hundreds of other citizens to suffer serious injury.

Christians living in Ambon have said that there were sporadic clashes all day today, including incidences of violent explosions and fires. Fr. Kees Böhm, of the Ambon Crisis Center, said: “Security personnel seem incapable of keeping the situation under control, and Christians have no arms to defend themselves.”

A 6.00 p.m. curfew has been established across the island.

Terrorists threaten Asian airlines

Four airlines have been threatened with attacks on their Bangkok offices by a group that last week said it was targeting Asian embassies, flights and tourist spots.
