US Promises to Punish Those Responsible for Gruesome Iraq Attacks
The top U.S. official in Iraq says Wednesday's gruesome attacks on four American civilians whose burned bodies were put on display in the town of Fallujah will not go unpunished.
"It's going to be deliberate, it will be precise and it will be overwhelming," U.S. General Mark Kimmitt said, speaking to reporters in Baghdad. He warned insurgents in the town of Fallujah to be prepared for U.S. forces to strike back following Wednesday's killing of four American contractors by a frenzied mob that dragged their charred bodies through the streets.
Televised footage of the act has provoked outrage from Americans in the United States and led U.S. administrator in Baghdad Paul Bremer to issue a warning.
"Their deaths will not go unpunished," he promised.
The White House blamed the attacks on supporters of Saddam Hussein. The remains of the four were to be turned over to the U.S. military.
A day after the attack, three American soldiers were injured in another attack near Fallujah, this time when their Humvee struck a roadside bomb.

If we are Muslim brothers with a need to transfer the theatre of operations and confrontation to their land, so that the casualties are from their sons and the buildings that collapse are their houses and the facilities which are ruined are their facilities. If Armegedon is what they want then so be it but we will transfer the Armegedon to them and their land and their sons.I hope that is just someone ranting and raving and not an activation order.

The following story has been at the top of the local Philadelphia/New Jersey newscasts since this morning. I know there were other stories in the past few months about stolen/missing trucks, but I forget the areas of the country where they occured.
Gasoline Tanker Stolen (New Jersey)
PENNSAUKEN, NJ-April 20, 2004 New Jersey's Office of Counter Terrorism has sent out an alert to local law enforcement agencies to be on the lookout for a missing and possibly stolen gasoline tanker.
A story on the Philadelphia Inquirer's website quotes police as saying that the tanker disappeared sometime between April 8th and 12th from the TK Transport lot in Pennsauken.
The 44-foot long chrome tanker was empty at the time but could hold 9,000 gallons of fuel. Officials say the motive for the apparent theft is not known but the alert was issued as a precaution.
The tanker has TK Transport printed in large green letters along its sides. It has New Jersey license plates T85-2SC.

Well that blows my idea of sending the Mafia after al Qaida!

Apparently the militants are pleased that the Madrid attack created the desired impact on Spain and did not have any impact on Muslim families. That's the key to stopping the aggression. We must retaliate on THEIR SOIL when they attack on our soil. We must not allow an attack by militant Islamic terrorists to go unanswered. It must cost them more than they "gained".

PLANE LOSES WING PART
From correspondents in Rome
April 21, 2004
DOZENS of passengers escaped down emergency chutes today after their Alitalia plane lost part of a wing in a collision with a service vehicle on an Italian runway, the airline said.
None of the 91 passengers was seriously injured, but 11 received bruises during the evacuation at the northeastern city of Trieste, airport officials said.
The Boeing MD 80 jet, on a flight from Rome, had landed normally and turned onto a runway at low speed when its right wing hit a parked service vehicle, breaking off the wing tip and spilling fuel onto the runway, Alitalia said
"The skipper immediately activated the emergency evacuation procedure and all the passengers were able to disembark without incident using the emergency chutes," it said in a statement.
The airline said it had been informed by the civil aviation authority that the runway had been cleared for trafficy after being closed for maintenance the day before.
"Based on this information, the 'Bravo' runway should have been working and free of service vehicles," Alitalia said.
Elio De Anna, head of the company which manages Trieste airport, said: "It's a serious incident which shouldn't be underestimated."
One of the passengers, Alberto Statera, who runs Trieste's Il Piccolo newspaper, hurt a finger as he slid down the emergency chute.
"It's a scandal, it could have been another Linate," he said, referring to a 2001 runway collision between an airliner and a small plane which killed 118 people at Milan's Linate airport.
Last week, a Milan court sentenced four airport officials to heavy jail sentences for gross negligence which prosecutors said contributed to the crash.
