I don't believe his words, he is probably speaking of the arrest and detention of those that can be identified by their faces on camera. For me, I vote for an above ground nuclear test. Of course if I were President on Sept 12 2001, Mecca would have been erased, followed by Medina if need be.

Grab a bunch of those little pukes off the street, coat them in pigfat, light them on fire and drop them out of helicopters. Then comes the MOAB and the customary "rain of pork rinds" after the rubble stops bouncing.

Killing those men was one thing. Mutiliating their bodies and hanging them up was another.

Level the city. No quarter.

The day before is when the AFP was probably tipped off an ambush was planned and they were therefore on hand to record the festivities of the other hyenas.

Part of the reason the military didn't treat this as SOP, clean up and recover, etc, is that they rightly saw this required new policy. That new policy has probably been formulated and approved.

Fallujah is founded on tribal (as in Mafia) lines. The rackets and resistance operate through this structure. The likely scenario is that they cordoned Fallujah first thing, although the direct perps may have gotten away. The next step is probably going to be a street by street search and the arrest of all the principal tribal leaders and imams. Maybe 2,000 arrests, thousands of weapons confiscated. The principal businesses of the tribal leaders will be boarded up as crime scenes. Informers will be sown, and people known to be sympathetic will be insinuated into leading posts.

Experience shows that the perps will eventually come back. If not, the huge interrogation will be produce enough leads to find them and much else besides. The process will gut Fallujah's old tribal structure. It will be devastating and horribly effective. But there will be no collective punishment.

"An agreement has been negotiated with the occupation forces to lift the siege of Fallujah and to withdraw. We are hoping you will cooperate to protect Fallujah and guarantee its security," the message said.

We have learned nothing it seems.

Time to wipe Fallujah off the face of the earth.

I'd put the Israelis in charge of retribution.

They know how to do it right.

After reading this, the words Daisy Cutter bombs keeps coming to mind. I suggest leaflets be dropped as a warning and then, boom! That will get the attention of these pigs...

Desecration of the dead is the lowest form of behavior. It doesn't get any worse. This is a clear indication of the barbarity and sub-human savagery which is a trademark of this part of the world.

It took a ruthless thug like Saddam Hussein to rule over and organize these people. He was their leader for a reason. Now we've removed him. Sadly, we're way too civilized and naive to bring order to these people. They don't want democracy or any of our western ways. They want their wild-eyed mullahs spewing hatred and death from their pulpits in the mosques.

We have no business being in this place but now we're there we have to see it out. It's a tragedy that so many Americans have to die for these lost souls. One day, in the Lord's good time, Christanity will reign in the hearts of men and holy missonaries will go forth and evangelize and convert these heathens. Until then, we're best out of this cess pit.

The death of each one of these people is worth 10 Iraqi lives.
This is our only deterrence to the (US-led) occupation of Iraq,"
Nayef, a car merchant who declined to give his surname, told AFP on Thursday.

10:1 isn't anywhere near the proper ratio Mr. Nayef!
The population of your stinking town is 300,000.
That is a 75,000:1 ratio.

How many rag towns would have to be vaporized before they understand?

10 to 1 is O.K. with this guy? How about 100 to 1, or 500 to 1?

We can provide any number he wants!

If you listen to the news reports, the American people want us to pack up and leave Iraq now. I hope instead we let them have it in that area with all stops pulled out. I won't hold my breath considering the political climate out there. But I still can hope and pray that we do.

Along those lines, a retired General Munger (sp?) from Fresno called into our local talk show today. He just returned from the area after going over taking donated supplies to our troops. He said he was sitting with one of the newly elected governors of Iraq watching CNN news showing the protests here. The governor was disturbed and turned to him and asked, "Can we rely on you? We have risked our lives to bring democracy here, and now I wonder, are you American's going to stay and finish this, or run out on us?" Shameful, shameful, shameful that they have to wonder this.

It sure would be interesting to see what the administration was saying after Somalia. I don't recall if it was like this, but I don't think so.

Don't have time to do the research now to see if I can bring up anything about it.
