American dead butchered 'like sheep'(Time for Fallujah to be taken off the map)

Jubilant crowds dragged the burnt and mutilated bodies of four Americans through the streets of Fallujah yesterday amid some of the most horrific scenes witnessed since the invasion of Iraq.

The four were driving along the main road when they were caught in a vicious crossfire from Iraqis wearing headscarves. The spot is a favourite site for attacks in the pro-Saddam Hussein town.

Yesterday, the corpses were dismembered before parts were hung from a green iron bridge over the Euphrates river, witnesses said. Other remains were hung from an electricity pole. People chanted: "We sacrifice our blood and souls for Islam."

One resident, Abdul Aziz Mohammed, said: "The people of Fallujah hanged some of the bodies on the old bridge like slaughtered sheep."

Beneath the bodies, a man held a printed sign with a skull and crossbones and the phrase: "Fallujah is the cemetery for Americans."

"I saw the people pull one of the dead bodies out of the car and pour [fuel oil] over it. Then they set the body ablaze," said Omar Khalil, an off-duty Iraqi police officer. "The people were praising God for their good fortune in killing Americans." The body was then dragged down the road by the feet.

Neither American soldiers nor Iraqi police were seen in the area after the attack, although an American aircraft flew low over the scene, scattering the crowd.

Hours after the attack hundreds still danced around the burning wreck of a Mitsubishi Pajero and Toyota Landcruiser chanting: "Death, death to the Americans." Some were said to be preparing an ambush for American forces if they returned to recover the corpses.

While your anger is understandable, anyone who would advocate the indiscriminate murder of millions of people who had nothing to do with 9/11 in order to "send a message" is a bigger monster than even the terrorists themselves.

Step 1: Blow up the bridge where the bodies were displayed. Make the explosion large enough that more than a few houses are flattened---a MOAB might be a good choice. Do this at 2 am with those in the collateral damage area rousted from their beds with nothing but the clothes on their backs.

Step 2: Pull out all US aid to Falugi--let then sit with no water, electricity or other necessities being provided by American aid elsewhere. Let the Baathists or Saudi's give them aid, but not the US.

Step 3: Cut the city off completely. No one goes in or out without a virtual strip search...make it as humiliating as possible. Cut off all phone service and jam cell phones and radio and TV broadcasts.

Step 4:Offer a $1 million in gold reward for the perpetrators..no questions asked. Give the perpetrators a public trial using the TV videos to identify those participating. Give out severe punishments long jail terms at Gitmo for the violators of the bodies and public hanging for those responsible for the killing. Defile the bodies of those being hanged--feed them to pigs or dogs. to show we mean business.

Instead of us leveling Fallujah and killing every living thing, let the Fallujahans decide their own fate: freedom and peace by turning over those who oppose the new Iraq and those who participated in the atrocities, or....the slow, lingering and certain deaths of all who live there by starvation, disease, pestilence and death by attempted escape.

The choice is clear: co-operate or perish.
