American dead butchered 'like sheep'(Time for Fallujah to be taken off the map)

Jubilant crowds dragged the burnt and mutilated bodies of four Americans through the streets of Fallujah yesterday amid some of the most horrific scenes witnessed since the invasion of Iraq.

The four were driving along the main road when they were caught in a vicious crossfire from Iraqis wearing headscarves. The spot is a favourite site for attacks in the pro-Saddam Hussein town.

Yesterday, the corpses were dismembered before parts were hung from a green iron bridge over the Euphrates river, witnesses said. Other remains were hung from an electricity pole. People chanted: "We sacrifice our blood and souls for Islam."

One resident, Abdul Aziz Mohammed, said: "The people of Fallujah hanged some of the bodies on the old bridge like slaughtered sheep."

Beneath the bodies, a man held a printed sign with a skull and crossbones and the phrase: "Fallujah is the cemetery for Americans."

"I saw the people pull one of the dead bodies out of the car and pour [fuel oil] over it. Then they set the body ablaze," said Omar Khalil, an off-duty Iraqi police officer. "The people were praising God for their good fortune in killing Americans." The body was then dragged down the road by the feet.

Neither American soldiers nor Iraqi police were seen in the area after the attack, although an American aircraft flew low over the scene, scattering the crowd.

Hours after the attack hundreds still danced around the burning wreck of a Mitsubishi Pajero and Toyota Landcruiser chanting: "Death, death to the Americans." Some were said to be preparing an ambush for American forces if they returned to recover the corpses.

It is essential to understand that a brave and resolute people do not drag burnt out corpses through the streets to show their manliness. Such things are done out of frustration, anger, and glee in order to strike out at those who are their betters.

But each one of those assweasels will respond to fear. Snipers will do that for you. Make people wake up with a bullet in their brains, and make sure that all the other big talkers see what happens when mercy takes a holiday. Terror has its uses, as Bin Laden has demonstrated. Binnie made the mistake of simply buying into his own b.s. when he attacked us. But in this case, we can terrorize the puffed up, arrogant, Arab by means of which he cannot see.

They will know who is killing them, but they will be able to do nothing about it. And that, my friend, is humiliation, the one thing the Arab fears more than death itself.

Believe me, when all of this is said and done, the Marines will turn to their Scout Snipers to settle accounts.

Fallujah needs to get the Punic treatment:

The Romans, deeply suspicious of a reviving Carthage, demanded that the Carthaginians abandon their city and move inland into North Africa. The Carthaginians, who were a commercial people that depended on sea trade, refused. The Roman Senate declared war, and Rome attacked the city itself. After a seige, the Romans stormed the town and the army went from house to house slaughtering the inhabitants in what is perhaps the greatest systematic execution of non-combatants before World War II. Carthaginians who weren't killed were sold into slavery. The harbor and the city was demolished, and all the surrounding countryside was sown with salt in order to render it uninhabitable.

The sooner the West accepts the fact that we are in a war of civilizations, that Islam is hell-bent on destroying anything and everything that is not Islamic, the better off we'll be. They did not commit these atrocities as Iraqis, they committed them as Moslems. Their allegiance is to Islam, and all the hatred and vile tenets of that backward faith. Folks, we are in a war for our very survival, and right now the price of victory is pretty cheap. However, as Winston Churchill so eloquently said, if we don't fight to win now, when the victory is still well within our reach, there will come a day when the chance for victory is all but gone, and we will have to fight with no possibility of winning, because it's better to die in the struggle than live as a slave.

I agree with you in part and disagree with you in part. The residents of Fallujah are Sunnis, and were (and still are) very loyal to Saddam. The rest of Iraq despises these folks. I don't think we'll hear any outrage from the Kurds and the Shi'ites if we kick some very serious Sunni butt in Fallujah. Hell, the Kurds and the Shi'ites may even join us. Remember, the Kurds and the Shi'ites were also victims of these very same Fallujans.

The Islamabombers are busy fighting the last war.

In Somalia, they dragged those Army Rangers through the streets and mutilated the corpses, and Bubba started pulling out the troops the next day. The lesson learned by the Islamabombers was that the American President was weak and feckless and would do anything to avoid bad press.

But Bubba is not the American President anymore. President Bush will not react to this atrocity by turning tail and running. President Bush will react by forcefully combatting those who do such evil deeds. President Bush will not leave until Victory is achieved.

It is time to teach the Islamabombers a new lesson. It is time for America to stop paying the price for the mistakes of Mogadishu. Keeping Bubbas poll numbers up has already cost us far too many lives.

America's success in "measured responses" has not been good. Remember the Vietnam War or Korea? Had those in power listened to MacArthur in 1951 or Schwartzkopf in 1991, North Korea would have become integrated into a democratic, capitalist united Korea and Iraq might be a friendly power.

The only measurement that needs to be taken is how much air and land power is needed to reduce Falusha to rubble, a la Tokyo and Dresden 60 years ago.
