Kudos. Great to see the Church is turning up the heat on these people.

The Boston diocese seems to operate by different rules--at lease when it comes to wealthy politicians. There's a lot more than pederasty that's the problem there.

Kerry's photo op is making me gag.
"Remember man that dust thou art and to dust thou shalt return" - this is not a phrase that has ever terrified his mind.
In addition to the fact that he's pro-abortion, pro-gay marriage, and anti-everything-the-Church-believes, I have also heard that it is unclear that he ever actually got an annulment from his first marriage.
Anybody know anything about this? While it's minor compared to the rest of the things he's done, it might be a sort of "technical fault" that would prevent even the liberal bishops from supporting him.

Kerry's photo op is making me gag. We had a Catholic man run for state rep endorsement at our R caucus earlier this month. Someone asked him if he was pro-life.
His answer: "Of course I'm pro-life. I'm Catholic."
The response: "So is Ted Kennedy. So is John Kerry."

Did the priest really put the ash on Kerry's forehead or is he starting to melt down?

Besides being pro-abortion, pro-gay marriage, anti-American, pro-communist... he goes to BAPTIST churches on Sundays that he chooses. Lest we Catholics forget... its a mortal sin to not attend mass on Sundays without good reason. This man tramples on everything that is good and holy about the Catholic Church. We have our problems because of BAD members... and HE's one of them.!!
To: Dataman
They need to do the whole thing for him on a sunday and televise it... you know, "do not remit his sins and may his name be forever blotted out of the lambs book of life... " then turn that candle upside down putting it out on the floor and pronounce him as "expunged."
Bet it would be GREAT on pay per view!
He'd be happier as a methodist or episcopal.

The mortal sins keep piling up- Deliberately missing mass, pro-abortion- remarriage- receiving communion unworthily- Let him suffer the consequences.
To: kattracks
The day the Vatican publicly excommunicates abortion advocates is the day I will return to the Church and give full support.

The response: "So is Ted Kennedy. So is John Kerry." It's very sad that we have gotten to this point. I hope the bishops think back on it when they are roasting on their spits.

Thanks, Aliska. I've been very involved in situation in Spain after the bombings and consequently have been off of the religion forum for a couple of weeks. The Time article was surprisingly good, and mentioned a lot of - er, inconsistencies.
I just wish at least one bishop would challenge him. That would be all it would take. The fact is that most Catholics, even after 40 years of Vatican II go-with-the-secular-flow indoctrination, would follow the lead of that bishop in a heartbeat.
I hope the Vatican and the US bishops realize this. They are underestimating their power when it is combined with the truth.

If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, and looks like a duck it prabably is a duck.

"Some bishops will be very likely be forced to clarify the Catholic faith in the wake of any campaign stops by Sen. Kerry, especially if the human life issue arises."
-Ergo, Kerry's stance is immoral and inconsistant with Catholicism... Duh...what a news story! Tell me something we don't know.
